Once again I am sorry to continue on a different ticket, I cannot find a reply button the interface. If there is an e-mail address I can send reply I will be happy to use it.

I tried this with a few screens. The screen of my laptop is fullHD and so is one of the external screens I used but I also tried this with a screen with lower resulotion (720p I think) and the problem occurred in all of them.

you should open an account at sf

You can try to enable the option "disable cache of rendered lines" on the adv. editor config page

This didn't work, however changing the render mode to Qt fixed this.
    Thanks

So the bug occurs with QCE render mode but not with Qt render mode?

In this case there's a bug in QCE rendering which we should try to fix. Can you please provide your texstudio.ini (sourceforge.net) (either by attachment or by mail), so that we can reproduce the bug with your setup.

I had the same problem with Texstudio and QCE rendering. It went away with Qt rendering.
    Here is my texstudio.ini file.

I am experiencing the same issue with v2.10.8. I might mention that I have two external monitors connected to my tablet.

Also, I noticed that the title bar of the TexStudio has a huge font size (basically the full height of the bar). Other programs in the same window donhave the normal size font in their title bar.

Since this thread is a bit of a mess, I'm not sure what exactly you are refering to. Could you please again point out the issue? Maybe a screenshot would help.

Are you using different scaling factors on the different monitors?

I was referring to what I believe is the main issue of this thread (continued from #1372): the problem auf faulte font rendring in QCE. I am still seeing this in v2.11.0 Here is a screenshot.

Allthough using Qt as the render "fixes" it, there is also some strange (but less annoying) behaviour with Qt! Here is a screenshot from the Structure-window. As you can see, longer lines that need to be cut off are rendered in a smaller font than the others.

Regarding the scaling factors: I am not sure what exactly that means, but I can say that the screen resolution of the tablet (main monitor) is very different than that of the two external screens is very different. In any case it is cleraly connected to the external screens/extended desktop because when move TexStudio to the Tablescreen, everything is displayed just fine. As soon as I move it back to the extended desktop the active line is displayed in smaller font.

The render mode does only affect the editor window. Setting it to "Qt" should not have an effect on the structure window. I assume that this issue is independent and most likely a bug directly in Qt.

We've now a partial fix for QCE rendering https://sourceforge.net/p/texstudio/bugs/1857/#4dab
