Hi Stefano, I wanna do 2 things: 1/ I have some text files that need to be sync across devices (laptop, desktop, cellphone, and main storage-could be DB) i want to use sync4j to synchronize those files (would be the same as MS briefcase) 2/ My web application (built on struts) used to access DB directly to get/modify the contact info, but now when i have funambol running to serve mobile client, i need to change either my app or funambol to handle concurrent update. I need to run ds-server in netbeans to see how messaged is extracted from http request. Correct me if i misunderstand something. Any suggestion would be appreciated Thai Stefano Fornari wrote: > Hi Thai, > what do you need to do? > > Stefano > > On Sat, Apr 26, 2008 at 5:57 PM, Nhut Thai LE > <nh...@al...> wrote: > >> Hi guys, >> I have one stupid question, how can i open the funabol ds-server source >> in netbeans? Hi guys, I have one stupid question, how can i open the funabol ds-server source in netbeans? As a java project, as an EJB? I got alot of error about org.apache.log4j missing when i open the project as web-app with existing ant build script. If i want to extends ds-server, do i only have to make a module or just add more classes and rebuild the whole project? Sorry, i'm not familiar with J2EE achitecture hope to get some hint Thai |

Hi Marcos, To integrate Funambol with a database you should check this HowTO https://wiki.objectweb.org/sync4j/Wiki.jsp?page=HOWTOConfigureTheBundledVersionToUseMySQLOrPostgresql Its well explained and be sure to copy the jdbc driver. Hi Diego, you're right and I apologize for that. Doing the latest build these filese have been wrongly included. We are going to fix it and update the package as well on OW. Hi Edoardo, I've checked line by line and file by file and found some *.java.bak files which were like 200 kB. I removed those files and my package reduced its size to 209kB after obfuscation. Hi, from the log you sent I suspect that the application in not logging in debug mode... please be sure, before changing the value as instructed in the previous messages, that the application is not running. If the application is still running and you change the value in the file, the application will use the value stored in the memory and at the end it will rewrite your modification. please retry paying attention to this issue thanks Teo On Tue, Apr 22, 2008 at 12:12 AM, Renzo Peduzzi <ren...@gm...> wrote: > Hi Teo > > thanks for your help. Hi, I can share what my configuration is and the steps I did. I installed the VS2005 sp1 and the SDK for wm5 both for pocket pc and smartphone http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=83A52AF2-F524-4EC5-9155-717CBE5D25ED&displaylang=en http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=DC6C00CB-738A-4B97-8910-5CD29AB5F8D9&displaylang=en At this point you should see windows mobile 5 pocket pc and smartphone as platform supported by the VS. Then I installed the wm6 sdk professional and standard http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=06111A3A-A651-4745-88EF-3D48091A390B&displaylang=en#filelist and now also the wm6 platforms are visible. Is it possible there is some dirty configuration after the add/removing sdk? Are you starting from scratch or are you updating the existing one? The best should be try to start in a clean environement... Hope this helps Cheers Marco Marcin Kawelski ha scritto: > Hi, > > Mike Taczak pisze: > >> Hi Marcin, >> I had this exact problem just last week. The solution for me was to: >> >> 1. Hey Luigia, I do set those values in both the calendar and contact tables, but performing a sync still fails to detect those entries. What I have noticed is that the last_update value is different between the webdemo and my update statements. I am inserting UNIX_TIMESTAMP() * 1000 into the last_update field. For instance, this morning it inserted 1208867003000 (April 22, 2008, 8:23AM EST). Status = 'U' However, when I do an update to the same record through the webdemo I get a last_update of 1208849001973, (April 22, 2008, 3:23am EST, or 723am GMT). Status = 'U' Is this what is causing my problem? It seems like even if I wait to sync, it still won't detect the changes. I can't find anything different in the records before/after the webdemo or my web client updates the record. Thanks for the help! I know there's some funny business in my code, but I'm just having a trouble tracking it down. Thanks! E -----Original Message----- From: syn...@li... Subject: Re: [funambol-users] Correct Last_Update entry Hi, to detect the modified calendars are used the values in the columns last_update and status in fnbl_pim_calendar. The last_update field is updated with the modification time (that is not the sync time) and the status is updated according to the modification type (N means new item, U item updated and D item deleted). You could try to use the webdemo client (http://<your-server>:<your-port>/webdemo) to see what happens in the database. bye Luigia |

Hi Diego, in general regarding the obfuscation you should: - have proguard, retroguard or another obfuscator package in your wtk installation - enable the wtk.obfuscate parameter in build.properties file (it should be enabled by default) Using the rebuild target or any other device-specific target you should see at the end the obfuscated package of the right size. 410Kb sounds like it is not obfuscated. Which ant target are you using? Could you send the console-output of build? Did you open the jar to see if the content is obfuscated? Hi everyone, First of all I'm new in Java and J2ME Real World Application Development. I'm working with Ubuntu + Eclipse + EclipseME + J2ME (Wireless Tool Kit) I downloaded funambol-mail-client-src-6.5.10.zip and funambol-mail-client-6.5.10.zip and all the libraries needed. I get the project working from the sources. But my problem comes when I package all the project. I get a .jar file of 410 KB after using Proguard Ofuscation. This is too much compared with the 236KB from the precompiled app. If you could give me some pointers on how could I reduce the size of my .jar file I will be very thankful. -- Diego Reinoso Quito - Ecuador |
