The dbase specific drivers are of the form DBD::DBase. Hence the MySQL version is DBD::MySQL. The official CPAN mirrors seem to only go back as far as 0.90, I found a 0.73 at one of the rpmfind mirrors. I'm sure a little work with one of the search engines will turn up DPD-Pg-0.69. Forms are sent as an attachment.
You could try to disable html conversion in Form.pm in function
format_string
my %umlaut = ( 'order' => { 'html' => [ '&', '<', '>', quotemeta('\n'),
'^M',
remove '&', '<' and '>' and see if it helps. If not remove the umlauts
too. quotemeta('\n') and ^M should remain but are not required either.
Let me know if it works.

You can use any text editor to edit a chart of accounts. The account number is an integer, no decimal points are allowed. The GIFI is ment for the prescribed account number issued by your Government. It is also a way of consolidating accounts into one account. However, none of the reports use the field at the moment. Updated translations can be submitted to me. I include it in the next release and post an upgrade file in the meantime. If you have the templates I'll include them too. Dieter Simader http://www.sql-ledger.org (780) 472-8161 DWS Systems Inc. I am testing SQL-Ledger since yesterday and am amazed at the various possible ways to use it. This program should be enough for most medium sized companies, and the layout and functionality are tops. Great work! (And if you happen to not like the layout, you can always change the templates etcetera) I have a few questions: * In the features listing it tells me I can simply create a default chart of my own. What program / tools would I use to do that? Can I export a chart from one database and then use that as a template for another one? * Is there anyone with Decimal Chart of Accounts, or ha anyone set up a chart of accounts that is agreeable with IAS (due as of 2005 in Europe !!) Possibly the GIFI account number field could be used to enter IAS standards when used in Europe, or a ''simple" translation table from GIFI to other standards (GAAP, IAS) could be written in a plug-in or as part of the main code? I volunteer for Data-input needed on this one.. * I updated the local /nl/ALL file because there were some mistakes in the translation. Should I post a diff or the new ALL file to anyone? |

Hello: Very nice initiative! There are Conectiva rpms ready for perl , perl-DBI, perl-DBD-Pg, tetex-latex, tetex, tetex-dvips. But there are not for dvipdf.... I found one at www.rpmfind.net , from www.bero.org . > As always, all feedback and comments are welcome. > -- > Martin Lillepuu You could send the test rpm by email to me, before making them available= at your site withou testing. I've stared at similar problems before. You are not
seeing the word "drivers". Yes, you have postgres
installed and it is accepting connections. What you
are missing is one or more of the perl modules that
allow perl to communicate with a PostgreSQL database.
Those are the drivers in question. DBD::PG is probably
one of them (that is the CPAN name for it). If you
are running RedHat, Mandrake, Debian, ...; you need
to download another module (which may pull along a few
other modules vis dependencies) which contains this
module. Debian always renames perl modules, as they
don't follow Debian standards. Makes it hard to find
the things some times. Alternatively, you can download
them from CPAN and install them "locally" (into /usr/local).
That should get you started.

They also MAY work with any distribution which has required dependencies (perl-DBI, perl-DBD-Pg, etc) available as RPM packages and uses /var/www/html as apache DocumentRoot. No testing has been done to verify this though. If you want me to create RPM for your rpm-based distribution, please e-mail me with following distribution specific information: - default apache username and group - default location of the apache DocumentRoot - possible additional actions needed to make SQL-Ledger work (in addition to those listed in http://www.sql-ledger.org/source/packaging.html) As always, all feedback and comments are welcome. -- Martin Lillepuu |

I was on the interchange list for a time recently (int...@in...). They have a really useful trick of inserting "[ic]" at the beginning of the subject field. This makes reading, sorting and filing your inbox much easier. I've put an example in the subject of this. Perhaps SourceForge could be prevailed upon to offer this facility for the lists it hosts? -- richard |
