Modify MAX_FORWARD_PER_USER in qmailadmin.h. Keep in mind that the list has to fit in 500 characters for other reasons. If you're forwarding to that many addresses, consider using an alias instead. Hi . Is it possible with qmailadmin to manage email addresses that contains & (eg foo&ba...@do...) I've seen the 1.2.1 version consider bad address when trying to add a address contain &. A stupid workaround if to create a forward from the shell ( via .qmail-foo\&bar file) , but When browse the user or the address with the qmailadmin cgi obviuosly the & is considered as a query string parameters separation in link . http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=808962&group_id=6691&atid=306691 This just bit one of my clients today, where messages were getting lost after the 3rd message was delivered to an account on "vacation". Michael Bowe recently suggested in the comments that maybe a simple solution would be to simply copy the autorespond code to a new package called "vacation", and then apply the new exit codes (Jeremy Kitchen's patch) to only the vacation program. Otherwise, I suppose we could add a new argument to autorespond to set the context (and then generate the appropriate error code). Thoughts? I think it's time to get this fixed, and I can work on it once there's a consensus on how it should be done. Regards, Bill Shupp |

http://qmailadmin.sf.net/ Release Notes: This release corrects some bugs introduced in 1.2.6 and adds a Lithuanian translation from Tomas Kuliavas. It also adds a nice feature, sponsored by PinkRoccade Public Sector. The main menu now includes an interface for entering an email address and jumping directly to the "confirm delete" or "modify" page for that address, independent of what kind of address it is. ChangeLog: Tomas Kuliavas - Added Lithuanian translation. John Peacock - template.c: Fix typo that broke autoresponder subject display. Tom Collins - Add Quick Links section to main menu. Admins can now enter an email address and go directly to the modify or delete page, regardless of address type (mailbox, forward, list, etc.). Thanks to PinkRoccade Public Sector for sponsoring this feature. - Modify User: For clarity, change "Deleted" to "All mail deleted" and "Vacation" to "Send Vacation Auto-Repsonse". - template.c: Add macro for current language (##~) and document in html/README. [818883] - user.c: Fix bug from 1.2.6 related to creating .qmail files when one didn't already exist. - INSTALL: Add note about running `libtoolize --force` on x86_64. - Update config.guess and config.sub scripts. - Include charset in HTTP Content-Type header. I think that the valias table needs an auto-incrementing serial number field, and reads from it should sort on that field. That way, you get the entries out in the order they were written. I could even be possible to re-order the entries for a particular alias if necessary, but I think that the auto-increment is a good solution. Adding it will require changes to each SQL backend, along with a script for users to add the field to their existing databases and assign values to all existing entries. Yuk. We are currently running qmailadmin 1.2.3 with autorespond 2.04 which uses the following syntax: autorespond time num message dir [ flag arsender ] I would like to see a change in the defaults for 'time' from 86400 to 600 and 'num' from 3 to 5. Or an easy way to set the defaults on a domain basis would be great. Thanks, Tom |

There are a couple of enhancements I am considering going forward on and I'd like to see what others think of them: 1) Domain-level forwarding (alias domains) - I have a number of domains which are basically there only for the web server, but it might be nice to automatically forward any e-mail to the "real" domain. I can do that now with an appropriate .qmail-default file: | /var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject -f $SENDER $EX...@ot...d and even add a "vacation" line to send a message back to the original user telling them the domain has changed (for domains we are "retiring"). It would seem reasonable to add this to the main "Email Accounts" page, much like the catchall options. 2) Rename e-mail address - much like the existing delete account handling, I'd like to be able to move the existing Maildir over to the new address (think a woman getting married) and have the option to set up a robot for the old address. I'd add this to the existing "Modify User" page... Thoughts??? Dear All, I have installed qmail with vpopmail and mysql database; also I installed the qmailadmin , Courier-IMAP and SquirrelMail with the following options: Omailadmin options: ./configure --enable-htmldir=/usr/local/apache/htdocs --enable-cgibindir=/usr/local/apache/cgi-bin --enable-maxusersperpage=12 --enable-maxaliasesperpage=12 --enable-modify-quota --enable-help --enable-maxaliases=unlimited --enable-modify-spam Vpopmail options: /configure --enable-logging=p --disable-passwd --enable-auth-module=mysql --enable-auth-logging --enable-mysql-logging --enable-valias --enable-domainquotas=y --enable-mysql-limits --enable-mysql-replication Now the Quota limit for the domain does not work !! I want to limit the total quota of a certain domain and give it unlimited no. of pop accounts - within its quota limit-. Can anybody help me to achieve this ?? Thanks and Best Regards. Samir Noshy |

Being a BOFH in a corporate environment has its benefits! ;) I think that ultimately what we'll want are flags to enable/disable the blackhole and forward features on the modify-user page. Maybe something for the .qmailadmin-limits file? No access, admin-only or user access to each? Include vacation in that? I think we could accomplish it with lots of ##t tags and some more code (e.g., only show this section if the user is allowed to enable forward). My only concern is that we make sure .qmail files aren't hosed up due to the rendered page not matching the actual file (e.g., if the user has forwarding enabled, but can't modify it themselves, what happens if they edit their config? When I get around to releasing the simple change-password interface, it should simplify things a bit. -- Tom Collins - to...@to...
