When user select "Forward To" and "Save a Copy", local copy of e-mail is double and broken. This only happen when message is with attachment. Qmailadmin creates file .qmail with this example: &som...@ot... /usr/local/vpopmail/domains/somedomain.org/some-user/Maildir/ But if I create two files .qmail and .forward everything works OK .qmail /usr/local/vpopmail/domains/somedomain.org/some-user/Maildir/ |dot-forward .forward .forward som...@ot... -- One cannot sell the earth upon which the people walk Tacunka Witco |

I was in the middle of a migration, so it's possible that it was simply some cruft that was removed when the rysnc process completed. I'll report back if I see it again. R. |

Hi, I've noticed a bug in the listing of "Forwards" in 1.2.10 If only one forward exists it is not displayed If a 2nd forward is added, both forwards are shown If the 2nd forward is deleted, the remaining one is not shown R. |

I'm not sure if this announcement went out to all of the vpopmail and qmailadmin developers or not, but there were changes last week to how CVS works for both projects. The most significant change is that you'll need to use vpopmail.cvs.sourceforge.net and qmailadmin.cvs.sourceforge.net instead of just cvs.sourceforge.net as the hostname. Note that I was able to use vpopmail.cvs.sf.net yesterday for my vpopmail checkout, but qmailadmin.cvs.sf.net didn't work -- I had to use qmailadmin.cvs.sourceforge.net. -Tom Begin forwarded message: > From: "SourceForge.net Team" <no...@so...> > Date: May 11, 2006 4:27:58 PM PDT > To: to...@to... > Subject: SUBJECT: SourceForge.net: CVS service offering changes > > Greetings, > > You are receiving this mail because you are a project admin for > a SourceForge.net-hosted project. What version of vpopmail are you running? If it's 5.4.15, try pulling stable-5_4 from CVS, or apply the following two patches (and then recompile/reinstall qmailadmin). http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php? thread_id=9999316&forum_id=35252 http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php? thread_id=9999314&forum_id=35252 -- Tom Collins - to...@to... Hello, The following patterns were flagged by the 'Email::Valid' perl module as invalid e-mail address formats.. This solution uses a particularly long and hairy regular expression that's supposed to match the details set forth by the RFC 822 spec for e-mail addresses. Here are the three cases: .lea...@te... two..do...@te... DotBeforeAt.@test.com The current QmailAdmin demo accepts all of these as "valid" addresses. On my own server, running QmailAdmin 1.2.10, I was able to successfully send mail to two out of the three addresses. The leading dot failed to let the mail through to one of the formats: .lea...@te... That seems like a bug in QmailAdmin: If I can create the address, I should be able to send mail through it. If the address format is not valid, I shouldn't be able to create it. What are opinions of the experts here: Which if any of these patterns should be treated as valid e-mail addresses? The all look like mistakes, but my testing with QmailAdmin revealed that two of these formats actually can work "in the world" regardless of the RFC. Mark |

http://qmailadmin.sf.net/ 1.2.10 - released 20-Feb-06 Not many changes in the past 4+ months. The most significant change is the addition of an index and search box on the aliases page. Thanks to Marko Lerota for sponsoring development of that feature. There were a few more minor changes related to the vpopmail 5.4.14 release, and an updated Bulgarian translation from Peter Pentchev. Released in -devel instead of -stable because it hasn't had much testing. I'll move it to -stable in a month if no one finds any bugs. ChangeLog: Peter Pentchev - Update Bulgarian translation. [1421770] - qmailadmin.c: Fix potential buffer overflow. - alias.c: missing semicolon when using VALIAS, eliminate unused variable warnings when using VALIAS. Tom Collins - mailinglist.c: Fix problem with enable/disable ezmlm-cgi access to archives. - alias.c: Add index and user search to the aliases page. When deleting an alias, return to the page that alias would have been on. This feature was sponsored by Marko Lerota. [894823, 877895] - qmailadmin.h: undef MAX_BUFF if previously defined (too small) by vpopmail.h. Include vpopmail.h before qmailadmin.h so we can always redefine MAX_BUFF. |

The script combines htmldir and imageurl to > determine where to place the images. Thanks Tom. I can't actually see any evidence of it being used at all. For example, here's the configure command that I used for qmailadmin: ./configure \ --enable-autoresponder-path=/usr/bin \ --enable-cgibindir=/var/www/qmailadmin/cgi-bin \ --enable-cgipath=/qmailadmin \ --enable-domain-autofill \ --enable-help \ --enable-htmllibdir=/var/www/qmailadmin \ --enable-imagedir=/var/www/qmailadmin/images \ --enable-imageurl=/qmailadmin/images \ --enable-maxusersperpage=12 \ --enable-maxaliasesperpage=12 \ --enable-modify-spam \ --enable-spam-command="| /var/qmail/bin/preline -f /usr/bin/maildrop mailfilter" This gives me the following output as it completes: qmailadmin 1.2.9 Current settings --------------------------------------- cgi-bin dir = /var/www/qmailadmin/cgi-bin html dir = /var/www/html image dir = /var/www/qmailadmin/images image URL = /qmailadmin/images template dir = /var/www/qmailadmin qmail dir = /var/qmail vpopmail dir = /var/vpopmail autorespond dir = /usr/bin ezmlm dir = /usr/bin ezmlm idx = yes mysql for ezmlm = yes help = yes modify quota = no domain autofill = yes modify spam check = yes spam command = | /var/qmail/bin/preline -f /usr/bin/maildrop mailfilter Following a make && make install-strip, nothing is put in /var/www/html. I use the following apache config (/etc/httpd/conf.d/qmailadmin.conf): Alias /qmailadmin/images /var/www/qmailadmin/images ScriptAlias /qmailadmin /var/www/qmailadmin/cgi-bin/qmailadmin This means that any domain hosted on this server has access to qmailadmin at http://some.domain/qmailadmin [goes and looks in configure.in] Ah, I see that htmldir is used as a root for imagedir if it is not specified explicitly. So, in may case, it is not required, but it is used as a fallback default in certain other cases. Thanks for making me go and look and work it out. :) R. |
