Examle you search for a term or %%% (for all records), you'd see there the checkbuttons, when you check it, you can see the dropdown menu from your search result. you can now select from there either if you want to email the result, print the result, or zipped the result, the result can be plain text or MARC. Try making a test at my demo http://phpmylibrary.sourceforge.net/html/modules/PhpMyLibrary/index.php Then search for all record (%%%) Check all that from the drop down menu at the bottom, select print MARC. Hope this helps. Thanks Polerio _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com |

Greetings, Sorry for the delay. I made some revision on the program. Anyway, your MARC data seems not to comply with the standard marc. To see some example of MARC open the directory polerio/import/loc/. . . This directory has some example of marc that you can use temporarily, copy-paste it or open it as a file. MARC raw data are separateby by ascii characters chr(29) chr(30) chr(31). this is from the stardard iso 2709 Information and documentation -- Format for Information Exchange chr(29) stands for record separator. chr(30) field separator chr(31) for subfield separator. Be noted that I'm going to send this to the phpmylibrary mailing list so that other user will be able to get some info from here. About the radio button for ISIS, check it only if you want to export ISIS records. If you're importing MARC file disregard that ISIS settings. I wish if you could give me your library website with which you have installed your phpmylibrary so that we could see the error together. But if you're not working in the internet(which means I cannot access your site and you're just on an intranet) just give me the errors you will be encountering and I will do my best to help to automate your library. Polerio >To: pt...@ho... >Date: Tue, 09 Jul 2002 05:18:20 -0700 > >I was wondering if you ever received my earlier message about converting >some MARC data? please email me at the above email address. From other questions asked recently, they installed it in slackware, you should use at least red hat linux. it will not run on slackware. be noted also of your installation, you should create a PhpMyLibrary directory on your modules directory. i.e. postnuke.com/modules/PhpMyLibrary/,.. then put the extracted file index.php and the folder polerio, on your modules/PhpMyLibrary directory. Also be noted to copy the phpmylibrary.php from polerio/blocks to postnuke/includes/blocks directory Thanks Polerio _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com |

Sorry for the delayed response. To see an actual MARC cataloging, go to phpmylibrary website and try t osearch for a term on phpmylibrary demo then edit it, you could see there how i'd encoded the MARC data. it looks like this 100 00$aPolerio Babao 245 00$cThe PhpMyLibrary Software Demo . . . .
