I see this question having been asked before in the archives, but see no answer... I just installed 0.6.16, and can load the startup/login screen. Anything I select, even the help link, however, simply reloads the page. -- Tim Evans, T.Rowe Price Investment Technologies | tk...@tr... P.O. I had the same problems as you, with the same errors and warnings. The only thing i succeded in solving was the fatal error: call to undefined function.. which is linked to the warning above. This is because the "include_path" in php.ini is not set correctly or has been left empty. You should verify and eventually correct the line in php.ini indicating the path in order to be something like this: include_path = ".;c:\php\pear" (note that your volume and path_to_php could be different from mine). As concerns the other warnings I haven't still found a solution; these warnings are: Warning: Undefined variable: partfound in c: \inetpub\wwwroot\phphelpdesk\languages\english.lang.php on line 256 Warning: Undefined variable: p_id in c: \inetpub\wwwroot\phphelpdesk\languages\english.lang.php on line 258 Warning: Undefined variable: whattodo in c: \inetpub\wwwroot\phphelpdesk\config\header.conf.php on line 8 Hoping to have been helpful and to be helped. Thanks for your attention! |

I spent a lot of time looking for a helpdesk system I am very happy with, PHP helpdesk. Ithas most of what I want, we use it and we install it for our customers as well. I noticed that PHP helpdesk was not listed with www.helpdesk.com I have attempted to list it but it does not allow for open source software in its registration process. It asks for the sort of information that does not exist in an open source project. I put sourceforge as the company name and the phphelpdesk.sourceforge.net as the web address. However it has insisted that a company address and telephone be added. I have put ours in and noted that we may be able to help with some commercial installations. I have also made a note to the site authors that it could be easier to register open source projects. I hope this does not cause anyone any issues but I do feel that this execellent tool requires more promotion and helpdesk.com is an obvious starting point for anyone looking for such a tool. i ran the install script and the only thing i edited in general.conf.php is $g_base_url = "http://tickets.arkansasweevil.org"; $g_domain = "tickets.arkansasweevil.org"; $g_base_path = "/"; it is setup to run from the root directory of the webserver. when i click the login link it just redisplays the same page. i notice no cookies are being sent to the browser (ie 6) - can anyone help? |

The inclusion of a searchable knowledgebase would be the icing on the = cake. That way users could search on their problem in hopes of fixing it = themselves. |

Euh Are you stupid, look at the site you can dl the Source code there. About the bug tracking I don't see the links between a Bug tracking System and an Helpdesk System ??? The helpdesk open source, so you can modify it, like I did/doing to convert it to a complete CRM system. Euhm, ... weird way of questioning I'll try to answer , .. - Scalability: This depends on the setup of your web / database server , ... The PHPhelpdesk application is written in PHP and needs to be deployed to a PHP enabled webserver , ... The application does not make intensive or large queries to the database backend , ... so the number of concurrent users will not be a problem - Platforms : Any platform that can run Mysql and Apache/PHP so the main UNIXES and Windows platforms - Database: AFAIK Mysql , Mysql and Mysql - Technologies ???? - Security: - Authentication trough user/password - Session handling - API's you get the source code , so you can extend or modify the software any way you like - Customizable : The sky is the limit - Source code: It is OPEN SOURCE :-) Besides if you are looking for a bugtracking system I would advize Bugzilla or phpbugtracker that is more in the scope , ... Just my 2 cents Reg Tijl -----Original Message----- From: Manish Nigam [mailto:Man...@ct...] Sent: woensdag 20 maart 2002 12:46 To: 'php...@li...' Sylvia! I've found the root to my problem and I think it can solve yours too! Please look at your general.conf.php, I think that you will find that tha last setting $debug is set to 1, i.e. debug setting as follows: $debug = 0; // SQL Debugging Info 1=on, 0=off |

Hello, I'm just starting out with phphelpdesk and php, and mysql for that matter. I'm using a recent redhat 7.2 install (updated) with Ximian gnome. I've just overcome a problem with the mysql socket (I created a link to it), but I don't know what to do with the following message which I get when I try to log into the helpdesk under the admin user. Any pointers would be much appreciated. Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/phphelpdesk/includes/functions.inc.php:75) in /var/www/html/phphelpdesk/includes/cookie.inc.php on line 8 Thanks -Kevin Anderson. |

Hi, I've noticed what appears to be a miscalculation in the reports, and wanted to know whether anyone else has picked up the same thing. Since October last year to the end February 2002 we've had 727 jobs logged. In the same period of time, we've had 671 jobs recorded as closed - but if you count by each month, there's only been 573 jobs closed. 671 is more accurate, as we've got 53 open now (leaving 3 unaccounted for, but that's no big deal). What I suspect is happening is that the script only counts closed jobs logged *and closed* in the same period of time. This would make a lot of sense, as it would explain why the error in counting is so much larger when stats are reported each month. I'm using 0.6.16 - which the phphelpdesk site tells me is current. Looking through the support requests seems to show that no-one else has reported this. Anyone got any ideas as to what I might want to look at to fix this?
