[This RFE is specifically for the "Multiple translation" pane but it wouldn't hurt if this would work with all panes.]
Sometimes a pane does not often contain information, but when it does, the information is very important. It seems like a waste of screen space to keep these panes open for the off-chance that something might appear in them. What I suggest is that if a pane is minimised, and content appers in it, the pane's tab should light up (e.g. by flickering a few times or by simply displaying the tab in black with white text). This will alert the user to the fact that there is content in that pane, so that he can check it out.
This may be useful for the "Multiple translation" pane but also for the "Comment" and "Notes" pane, since both may contain very little content in general, but when content does appear, the content is very important. It could even be used for the "Glossary" or "Fuzzy matches" panes, if users minimise these on projects that they expect very few matches in (though the 30% threshold on the fuzzy match pane would mean that that pane's tab would light up very, very often anyway).

I have implemented something like this for a new feature I'm planning. The notification portion could be reused for existing features.
However there are some details to think about: For instance, with some file formats or project configurations all segments will have content in the Comments pane because the ID or key is shown there, so in that case notifications would be annoying. What level of configurability do we want?
I think this RFE is a duplicate of
Notify user when minimized panes have content

I close as duplicate.
