Have a keyboard shortcut for deleting all text from the current segment's target field. I suggest Shift+Ctrl+X. Other CAT tools also have this function.
Ctrl+A followed by Delete does it, assuming your active window is the editor pane, which is the expected context anyhow, so no need to "activate window" - Ctrl+A followed by Delete - "activate again the original window"

It's already available: Edit -> Remove Translation (an arbitrary shortcut can be assigned).
Why not assign a shortcut? What do you think would work? S+C+X ?
