Hi, I have tried to play one SVCD on Mplayerosx but it simply popped up the displaying window and then it did nothing else and kept halted until I issued the kill command, some 5 minutes later. I tried the same SVCD on Mplayer for Linux (RH 7.1) and it worked just fine. I am executing both (OSX and Linux versions) from the command line like this: mplayer -vcd 1. I have also tried to play a WMV file and the same thing happened. Does Mplayerosx already support the same options and parameters as its PC counterpart? If so, why is it not working? MPlayer v2.0b5 Mac OS X 10.2.6 Dual G4 450 MHz, 1 GB RAM I have video of 'WRAW' format. When played on WMP (W2K WMP 6.4.09.1124) image is grey scale with date time display in bottom left. When played with MPlayer image is 'yellow' scale (yellow instead of grey) and rotated inverted. (Take bottom of image and rotate out towards observer and place bottom at top). Maybe you didn't have frame dropping enabled? I have used Mplayer OSX for well over a year now and find it to be an excellent program for watching movies that are encoded in various formats. (Thanks for all your hard work) . For the past 2 months or so the player is not working properly. (version 2.0b5) It plays in fast forward mode and I get this terrible screeching, probably the soundtrack playing in fast forward. I am running system 10.2.6. I have trashed and redownloaded MPlayer, but I still get the same problem. this never happened before the past 2 version upgrades. I have an M-Audio revolution sound card and sometimes the player will route the sound through the onboard sound regardless of what I have selected in the sound preferences. Thanks, David |

whenever i try to play this .avi movie, only the audio plays and there is no picture... i am running an eMac 1ghz with mac os x (10.2.6) with 512 mb of ram for some reason it only works with a few of my .avi movies so im assuming it is a different type of avi file that your player does not support Darren Slimick |

i consider beta 4 to be more useful to me at this time because unlike the 4th beta, with beta 5 i am now unable to use the scrubber bar for instantaneous intravideo navigation. attempts to use it as such result in no action on the part of the player, i am now reverting to beta 4 with 05 in reserve. thanks for all ur great work =D |

Hi, I love Mplayer for OS X but the one problem I have is just about all the .avi's I have don't sync the audio with the video. The video lags behind and keeps getting farther behind the farther I go into the movie. But compared to quicktime, at least it runs the video smoothly, maybe slow but smoothly. I hope your team is trying to correct this problem b/c I saw other lists of this on the web site. Thanks for your time and your product. Kenneth Stone |

why can't we view WMVs that have 3VMW video tracks? MPlayer's website says we can, so why can't MPlayerOSX do it? When trying to add a .ogm file to the beta 4 player the file just will not add itself to the list. Any particular reason why? A bug? Something someone forgot to add? Also, .mov files do not show their running length in the playlist window. I tried it on several different .mov files that used several different codecs and they all were lacking a running length. -Sean |
