Hello At the begining I have thank you for a good player which I can try here. But, I found one general problem with it.. and I don't understand what's going on ;-/ When I bought my newer Mac you player (in get info version 2.0) works great. Very, very great. All movies I can watch and all subtitles which not special problems I can include. Great, but.. that was a past. Why? Not a long time ago I download latest (I think) version of your player. It's a 2.6beta or something like that. After installing I found a general problem (first). Player doesn't work. In my dock when I click it it not respoding (the icon not jumping and starting), from a folder application do nothing ;-( When I use ma older version (the sizes are the same - why?) the application doesn't work too. And there is a fundest thing: I don't have here important things, so I reinstal to new clean install MaxOS X and what is now? nothing, this is the one application in my comp which don't responding. Like in situations before. What is going on? Could you help? I don't have a time to rewrite my oldest player application (my self) from MacOS classics and standard Macintoshes to X in this time (most absorbing job, live and other problems). This application (MPlayer) works good, but now it's impossible - why? I don't understand. MPlayerOX2b6 does not play any .avi files. It opens up slowly and runs a film hurriedly to catch up to itself. The two window system is poorly implemented. Not aqua compliant. Good luck on the final. Eddie |

Hi, after upgrading from Jaguar to Panther 10.3.3, MPlayer has started performing worse. Every five seconds it will come with a small hickup (lasting 1/3rd second roughly, but clearly visible). Anyone else having the same problem? I've been using top to check out what else is running, but this problem happens when nothing else is running at all. Suggestions? BTW, how is the MPlayer OS-X project going? Haven't seen a new release since December Cheers Nik |

Hi, I am using your excellent MPlayer OS X (version 2beta6) since a few weeks on my iMac G4 1,25GHz and I am impressed by the quality of your work. My operating system is the last one : 10.3.2 (Panther). However, there is a little problem. The window MPlayer OSX is not stable when I am trying to push the cursor of the movie manually from left to right (in order for example to start the lecture of the movie from its middle) or right to left. By "not stable", I will notice the fact that the ALL MPlayer OSX window moves and not only the cursor, which is not very convenient. Thanks for all your nice work. Open an mpg movie file, MPlayer shows a blurred and discolored screen, makes a noise, and freezes. A window appears stating that MPlayer has crashed and to submit a bu report. Mplayer will not close and has to be Force Quit. |

For some reason, whenever I try to add something to the library that ends in.mpg, it unexpectedly quits. And it plays nothing when I tell it to. It just kind of...sits there. I've talked with a friend that's using the same version as me and it works fine. Just to let you know, I have restarted, shut down, etc. etc., and nothing's worked. Hi Jan, I just downloaded MPlayer OS X 2 (beta 6) in the hope of playing .ac3 music on a surround system. But it didn't work -- opening a file caused MPlayer to crash. I've attached a small test track in the .ac3 format. As far as I know there aren't any other players that will do AC-3 on Mac 10.3 (except the DVD player; but that one won't play music files, just DVDs with AC-3 sound). Hope you can help. About Mplayer2 b6 (Panther/Titanium 667) -The window moves when I try to use the progression bar. Is it possible to restore the old version of the progression bar which work really fine? -With some "avi" the volume bar doesn't have no more effect. Its doesn't come frome the movie since with Mplayer Beta3, it works fine. -Full screen mode is now a disaster. Again works fine with the previous beta3 version ! |

Hi. I have copied the new MPlayer 2b6 in Mac OS X.3 and can't get it run. I had previously the b5 installed with Panther and didn't run neither. When installing b6 I erased the previous preferences, but didn't work. What else can I do to make it works with Panther? Sincerely Antonio Sarmiento |

Mplayer 2.0b6 (though this bug also happened in lower versions) OS X.3 Panther (though this bug also happened in Jaguar) Powerbook G3/500 As any movie screen loads, a loud blast of "static-like" noise comes through the right channel. As soon as the movie starts playing, this noise stops. I have not experienced anything like this in any other app, or using the same movie files in other applications. The longer the movie takes to load, the longer the noise continues for. -- james |

There is no movie playback and the buffering (in the main application pane) takes forever if the use cache (slow media) option (in the preferences menu) is turned on. Hi I have just downloaded the newest beta, and I find a bug which seems to be only related with panther. I had no problems in 10.2.x. This happened for both version 2.0b5 and the new 2.0b6 in panther. When I resize a window while playing a media file, the new area does not contain video.
