I have a couple of question concerning CVS. I used CVS to download the 2.3 kernel to my PC. I then tarred and gzip the directory and copied it to my Amiga. I tried to update the 2.3 tree, using CVS, at the new location. What I found out was, moving the tree seems to confuse CVS and the update is not working properly. Actually I'm not sure it's not working properly, but it's not acting the way other updating sessions go. With a normal update a list scrolls by with lots of Updating... messages and then maybe only a couple files are actually changed. But after moving the sources CVS seems to be sending all the files back to the server and who knows what's really happening. I suspect that CVS is looking at the absolute paths to the sources. How can I tell CVS to use the relative path names? -- Fred |
