You should get the latest CVS version, available at : http://www.xfree86.org/cvs/ and add the -rbranch_4.0.2 option to cvs co. Beware though, the source are huge, and you need lot of disk space. Hello, ... Xfree 4.0.3 should be released nextly, in order for it to work fine on apus, it would be nice if someone could compile it and test it, in order to avoid the mess that 4.0.2 caused. Someone feels up to that ? (i would do it, but i have not enough disk space for it, but then maybe i could try an NFS mount over ppp over the serial port, or even go disk shopping ...) Did you compile the /dev/rtc driver in your kernel?
Or perhaps APUS doesn't have the m68k genrtc driver yet?

The clock chip has never worked properly under APUS on my A4000T. Has anyone has similar problems? I always get "cannot access hw clock by any known method" or "hw clock contains invalid time" or something like that. The clock chip does appear to work though it loses time; several minutes a week. I didn't do much testing though I did notice a segmenation fault or two during and extended install of glibc. (Don't worry I used the install_root option) Fred |

AFAIK APUS builds 2.4.2, but probably not in this tree :-)
Can someone who's actively working on APUS please take care of these things? I
have an Amiga and a PPC, but not in one system...
