But dont use the ubuntu software center to install lemonPOS, it is an old version. There is a wiki with a howto for installing on Kubuntu (tested with 9.X versions). But the same applies to Ubuntu... At the wiki you will find what to install in order to compile lemonPOS from sources, but also you can use the .deb package (32 or 64 bits) i have uploaded to sourceforge. http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/lemonpos/index.php?title=Installation_Guide (read all the installation guide, not only those for kubuntu, because the database needs to be created) To download the package: http://sourceforge.net/projects/lemonpos/files/real/ Install the next packages (not for compiling lemonPOS, just for install de .deb): *libqt4* *libqt4-sql-mysql * *kdelibs5* *mysql-client* *mysql-server* maybe more packages are required, see if when installing the .deb something is missing. > I had ubuntu server 9.? running then tried to install KDE Desktop > (required to run lemon) which I wasn't able to get running. then found > kubuntu and upgraded to that, but the KDE keeps freezing up within a few > mins.
