Hi y'all, As I've said to you in a previous mail, I've got some problems running kreatecd. I'll run the debugger over it tomorrow to see if it is anything I can solve (the Crash Handler implied that it was QString all along!).=20 Anyway, on my computer I've got a big mess of pre-implementated code, fixes, additions. I do not dare to commit this stuff, as I may embaress myself, for I have not being able to test it. (sounded like a true Shakespeare, if I may say so :-) My code includes some changed Toplevel.cpps and MainWindow.cpps. If Jonathan starts working on the Drag'n'drop stuff, it is nice to know these files=20 will look different. I haven't had a substantial look at the code, so=20 I can't estimate the chance that we are working on the same file. The files I've changed are: mainwindow.cpp (or something like that) and the .h toplevel.cpp and the .h (these are the shared files which you (Jonathan) probably shall edit). If so, please have some patience until I get the stuff rolling. All other files may be altered. Thanks in advance. Nielx P.S. Sorry to keep you waiting |

Just my opinion (I'm not the maintainer so you should wait for Alexander's reply). I think the latter is quite cool. You drag music links from the internet right to your CD. Maak er wat moois van! I've one question concerning the drag-and-drop functionality in the isotree, should only local files be accepted, when dropped from konqueror or should KDE2.0's network transparency be implemented (e.g smb, ftp...) in that way that files dragged from that locations are copied to a temporary place and added too? Seams to work for me. Kreatecd crashes sometimes if I hit cancle buttons, in dialogs, but I haven't investigated it yet, but all in all it runs for me. I use QT 2.2.2 too at the moment Joseph WENNINGER |

There are two which I could imagine at the moment - but there might be a lot of things which could be configurable - ISO 9660 mastering options (like Rock Ridge etc.) - CD-R burner settings (speed and so on) If there are some more configuration dialogs, it would be better to combine them in a configuration menu, similar to KDE Control Center or with tabs. BTW, does anybody know whether higher recording speeds are supported in cdrecord? We would have to add them in the CD-R dialog then. Hi! I saw on the sourceforge webpage that there wasn't any mail traffic since September, is this project still alive ? I thought the CVS version should work with KDE2.0 but for me it crashes because of changed classes in the KDE-Libraries. Are there any newer version available than in CVS ? Hi! As you might have read, I asked on the user mailinglist, whether it is time to drop KDE 1.x support to optimize for KDE 2.0. I got two "votes" to do it, and no "vote" to continue support for KDE 1.x. I think it is time for the change, too. KDE 2.0 has very good chances to become part of most distributions. QT 2.2 is under QPL or GPL, so even Debian probably will include KDE 2.0. At the moment I am investigating what has to be changed. Soon I'll recode all .po files to Unicode as soon as I know how to edit Unicode .po files. This is necessary to get correct "Umlauts" for KDE 2.0 If you haven't done already, try to get a recent KDE snapshot or wait for KDE 2.0 RC1. Very soon it may be necessary to compile KreateCD CVS HEAD branch. Greetings Alexander |
