Hi, Just to inform you, I've created the KREATECD-1_0 branch So: KREATECD-1_0 This is mainly for bug-fixes (but if you want to add anything for KreateCD 1.0 b1 than it is fine). The MAIN branch is open for development for KreateCD 1.1. Alexander, will you please make an appropriate README=20 (as you are the maintainer) for the KREATECD-1_0 BRANCH. The version number in the main branch is bumped up to post1.0. Good day Niels |

Sorry for commiting it into CVS, but I had problems getting Mail from the list for some days. It's now problem to remove, It's only one include, one declaration and one entry in the Makefile.am I'll do it when I'm at home tonight. (It was planned to be finished Thursday) JoWenn |

Do we build packages for other distributions than SuSE 7.0? I have a strongly modified / partially updated Mandrake 7.0/7.1/7.2/cooker here - which might be of no use to build i386 packages. I saw something like that in KDE Makefiles some time ago but I cannot remember where it was. It might be --enable-final which changes the files to be compiled. If only a few lines in the original code are changed, CVS branching would be the better solution. Can you tell me which files have to be changed and which files have to be added? > If this > option isn't given on the commandline only the "working" stuff is compiled. > > Can someone give me an hint ?? > I will have to find out a method to conditionally compile files too. MP3 support will only be compiled when mpg123 is installed. BTW loadable modules for file formats are prepared. A file format module consists of subclasses of AudioConverter and AudioIdentify, which should be highly independent from the rest of kreatecd. With some effort these modules even could be make independent from libc. If you find a way - please tell me - I will need it too :) Alexander |

I'd like to put some code into CVS, which isn't ready yet for 0.9.0, but I'd like to have it in to avoid to much merging later. I'tried to figure out (a littlebit) who configure works, but couldn't find as solution. I'd like to add an option to configure e.g. --unstable, which creates Makefiles containing the additional files and sets some defines, to enable compilation of the stuff not really ready of 0.9.0 as I said. If this option isn't given on the commandline only the "working" stuff is compiled. Can someone give me an hint ?? Thx in advance JoWenn |
