index.docbook (en) in the post 1.0 (main) tree.

An even more generic way would be to support xmms input plugins. I don't
have any information about them so I don't know if we can support them.

It would be good if we save time by doing this. Although there is almost
a complete plujgin API in kreatecd at this moment - we could change this
for a more generic plugin system.

Problem: SuSE 7.0 doesn't compile KreateCD out of the box. I'm currently
downloading
KDE 2.0 from the suse FTP site. So packages will be available later this
afternoon.

We would have the bug reports directly at sourceforge - which would be
an advantage. There is already a bug-reporting dialog in KreateCD (it is
part of the help menu and probably is in almost every KDE 2 app). The
bug reports of the help menu are mailed to me and I have to enter the
bug manually. The advantage is that the dialog detects some information
- which an unexperienced used might not know.

We probably should allow both methods of bug-reporting. If kreatecd
doesn't compile / start at all nobody can use the dialog. And some
people might prefer the direct method over sourceforge.

I want to add a BUG-REPORTING file in the CVS.

The contents is like this:

We've tried our best to make this project as bug-free as possible, however
you may encounter bugs. Instead of living with them, you may help get rid of
them by reporting them to us.

You may submit your bug-reports at

On the first URL you will find a field in which you can enter data that will
be send to us. In the category you may pick in which area you think the bug
is. If you don't know exactly, you can leave this on None. Please select in
`Bug Group' the severity of the bug, and enter a short summary. In the
details field, please enter the following:
* Version of KreateCD (e.g. 0.4.1 or 0.9.0)
* Version of KDE (e.g. 2.0 or 2.1)
* What the bug is about
* How to reproduce it
* Your name -and
* Your email

The latter two are for us to contact you in case we need to get more
information.

You don't need to apologize. Everybody makes bugs. It was bad luck that
we discovered it too late for 0.9.0 - but it is not really your fault. I
should have been alarmed too as I saw some ISO images in my tmp some
days ago.

I must apologize for finding the bug that / too 
late, but I noticed it the moment, I ran out of 
disc space, and this happend too late for 0.9.0, 
as it seams.

I can't test X12 X16, because my control can 
support X8 the maximum, although my cd-recorder 
could do it.

The tarball compiles fine for me and seams to 
work. The actual burning I can test tomorrow, 
after I borrowed some CDs, but the rest seams to 
work. (except the cleanup on exit).

I think I found the bug, I forgot to clean 
something up on application exit.

I'll commit it tonight to 1.0 and post 1.0 branch

Hmm. This is definitly a bug. The files were deleted some time ago

Just one question, I came around today:
Shouldn't temporary track images get removed from the /tmp folder, when the
related ISOImage object gets destroyed ? Today I deleted 20 GB of temporary
kreatecd_* files.

If yes, should it be implemented before RC1 or is it a post 1.0 feature ?

Hi!

I'll tag the CVS in about 20 minutues - so now is absolutely the last
chace to make changes for 0.9.0 :) . At the same time I'll notify all
translators that they can start translations:

Following translators will do their work for 0.9.0 :

- it
- sv
- nl ? Didn't ask but I think Niels does his work too :)
- de (If old translator cannot do it, I'll do his work

I didn't get any reply from the is-translator

just saw that we need to increase the selectable recording speed in
kreatecd. This should be done before 1.0.0 if possible. I will try to
get it working today.

It was planned to provide shell-access to CVS some weeks ago but I don't know 
whether it is done in the meantime. But we don't need shell access for this.

They are removed now. I cannot tell you what you did wrong. They are only in 
the HEAD branch - when you check out the KREATECD-1_0 branch you get a copy 
without any ProjectSingleDataWidget.* or IsoWidget.* 

Did you already work with branches in CVS?

BTW. Afaik IsoWidget.* disappeared while I removed ProjectSingleDataWidget.* 
so you probably removed them.

Right, did you CVS commit it ?
Anyway, I have removed them now (sorry), but try commit
next time and see that it works...

only sourceforge administrators ?).

I tried to remove with >>remove<< my files 
ProjectSingleDataWidget.* and IsoWidget.* from 
the KREATECD-1_0 branch and thought they will be 
marked dead and not transfered on a new 
checkout, but it didn't work.
In ChangeLog I said they were "removed", but it 
seems they are alive tough.
Please could someone have a look at it.
