Using v2.12 - For me, "customize" refers to the ability to add icons from the menus to the toolbar, alter the order of them, or remove them from the toolbar.
As a side point (and not really applicable to the Feature Request), before that happens, Dominik would need to unify how 'Show Entries' appears in the toolbar, and how 'Show All Entries' and 'Show Entries by Tag' appear in the Edit menu. I'll post on this to highlight it.

Another discussion on this topic took place recently, and I created a now-closed Feature Request as a result, due to my inability to locate this one. Also for reference (and to gather all the relevant links in one place), there's a related Feature Request which probably would benefit by being implemented at the same time as this one. Yeah, customizable toolbar would be nice. There are several items I don't need there, as well as the order of the icons should be customizable. But only if an on/off switch would be implemented (e.g. I could remove some icons), I'd be already happy.
