[Gnuplot-info] No graph appears

Hi,

I've just installed gnuplot following a recent installation of Kubuntu.  
However, whenever I try to run programs (written in C) which are meant 
to automatically provide a visual output using gnuplot, no graph appears 
- they worked fine in a previous installation of Debian Sarge and also 
work ok in Solaris.  Also, whenever I type 'plot x' etc within gnuplot, 
no graph appears.  What could the possible reasons for this be?

Any help would be much appreciated.
