Actually, you didn't.  I'm quite sure that this is the first time you
mentioned any particular operating system.  And you still didn't say
what hardware platform or X11 versionyou're on.  Linux runs on 
practically everything that can run X11, these days, and both come in 
multiple strains, each with their own version numbers.  Do try to be 
specific.

And when it did happen all that suddenly, what had been the last thing
you changed in the system?

That change is much too drastic to be a useful debugging method.  You'll 
have to determine whether you're still running the same instance of 
gnuplot, and whether it was compiled equivalently to the one you used to 
call (linked to same libraries, ...).

Sorry Sir,

i sent one mail nearly one week back telling that -rv option in =20
gnuplot is not working suddenly in my linux redhat 4.0 AS version.

GNUPLOT is behaving in the same manner for both the options ( with and =20
with out -rv option). but i dnt know how it happened suddenly. after =20
that i tried in some other machine in another account it was working. =20
Then i checked the profile and removed /usr/X11R6/bin from my path =20
environment variable. Now it is working. but i am not able to put some =20
screen savers.

I am using Gnuplot version 4.0

if u can help me. Please do it immediately.

I send one mail regarding non working of -rv option in gnuplot. but i  
dnt get any replay from your side.

i found the problem some how. but i dont know how to correct it.  
Previously to enable the screen savers, in my .profile i added  
/usr/X11R6/bin to PATH variable.
after that gnuplot is not taking -rv option.

Please do the necessary action.

should produce identical curves, but the first is zero for every x-value
