While waiting at the end of a turn one (or sometimes more) AIs will take much much longer than everyone else, i cannot figure out why, but it increases as the map increases. This anomaly can happen on the 1st turn.
The delay happens when the AI decides to found a colony --- the search for a suitable tile is slow. This has always been the case, it is just that other parts of the AI have changed and this delay is currently more noticeable. It could easily be fixed by having the AI consider fewer colony sites, but the delay is not that bad and only occurs occasionally, and I am wary of premature optimization. Who knows, it may cease to be noticeable again next time someone tweaks the AI.
What really needs to be done with the AI is to fix all the missing functionality/stupid behaviour bugs. If we do that, the code will have changed so much this problem is likely to be long gone!
