#1641 Portuguese translation
It seems that the interface messages for Portuguese (Portugal - pt-PT) in translatewiki.net have not been integrated in your releases for quite some time. This problem can be duplicated by instaling 0.8.4, setting language to Portuguese (Portugal), exiting, restarting, selecting "Opções" and the fourth tab says "Jogos salvos" - this was changed to "Jogos gravados" on 31 Jan 2009 (http://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=FreeCol:ClientOptions.savegames.name/pt&action=history). I'm about to do a total review and update of the pt-PT messages but, since it involves quite an effort, want to ensure that you'll be uploading them into the next release or some time after. Could you please confirm, and give me an idea of when the uploading of the pt-PT translations will occur? Thanks
I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say here, but the Portuguese translation was last updated on 2009-11-19 by commit 5977.

Hi burschik, trying to be totally clear, there are two variants: Portuguese (Portugal) and Portuguese (Brazil). I am saying that the Portuguese (Portugal) translation is not in synch with the translations in translatewiki.net. For example, the tab name "Saved games", was changed in translatewiki.net to "Jogos gravados" back in January 2009 (see URL above). I just downloaded 0.8.4 and installed it, and the tab DOES NOT say "Jogos gravados".
The problem is that we can not easily maintain translations for several branches. 0.8.x and trunk diverged a lot, and while we added newly translated strings, we did not replace strings that had already been translated. This is unfortunate, but it is not really a bug. At any rate, I can confirm that 0.9.0 will contain translations current at the time of release.
