Randomly Equalizer APO and Voicemeeter will produce high levels of distortion. Switching back and fort between output A1 and speakers in Configurator.exe fixes the issue but might require more than one iteration. On some rare cases switching to speakers doesn't end distortion but restarting Voicemeeter's audio engine on the first iteration helps. This could be a race condition of some sorts.

I'm running Windows 10 Version 1709 (Build 16299.248) with Voicemeeter 1.0.6.0 configured as 7.1 input and 48000 Hz sampling rate. Physical audio device is Head'n'Hifi Objective2+ODAC digital USB soundcard.

Same here with Voicemeeter Banana and Win 10 v1803.
Disabling Output A1 in APO configruator will remove the crackling distortion, but after enabling it again, there is a 50% chance, that the crackling distortion is also back.

I have to do this 2 to 5 times to be ok. Very random.
