#339 Loud cracking/static noise jumpscares right after installing
When i instal Equalizer APO and install it for my audio driver/headphones, the audio stops working and once in a while i get a extremely loud audio crack jumpscare wich kind of sounds like plucking in headphones via Aux cable but with 1000x loudness please help,
Is this on the latest version 1.4.2 of Equalizer APO? And does this happen after you have done something like EQ-ing by a graphic equalizer?
Before 1.4.2 using a graphic equalizer (the GraphicEQ command) some heavy distortion could happen on Bluetooth devices.
I havent done anything with the EQ, its straight after installing it for my headphones (Realtek (R) Audio) also i use Audio Technica ath m50x's so not bluetooth device. I havent found anyone with the same issue on the internet.
Oh and yeah, its the latest version
As supporter of the Equalizer APO project (I'm the developer of the Peace equalizer interface) I rarely come across similar issues. I can't remember if those were solved. It does sound like an audio buffer under run issue but that assessment doesn't help of course.
Did the ATH-M50x come with its own software (app and driver? If it has its own sound effects/enhancements it may interfere with Equalizer APO. This can be tried by unchecking both Use original APO checkboxes in the troubleshooting options section of the Device Selector. To access these, click the ATH-M50x device and check the Troubleshooting options checkbox. Remember to click the "Ok" button to invoke any change in troubleshooting options.
Now i have gotten it to work, but after adjusting the EQ with the Peace add on i dont notice any difference in sound whatshowever. Even if i try the Bass boost preset it doesnt change anything. I am using the newest version of peace.
Unfortunately that means that Equalizer APO doesn't work any longer on that particular device because of what you did or because of a new Windows update. What does the Device Selector show for the audio device?
