#3 skype modern app bypass equalizerapo

the skype modern app volume is deafening. i have to use volume 0 instead of my usual 50 with resulting drop in audio quality

all other modern and desktop apps ive tried are fine

the only thing i changed since installing EqualizerAPO64-0.9.1.exe is C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config\config.txt to

Preamp: -35 dB

can anyone reproduce this?

how do i debug this?

how do i get more data of whats going on? can i see if an app manages to bypass the apo?

i got a corsair vengeance 2000 with latest drivers

my corsair vengeance 2000 software and driver is 2.0.35 1.0.0.30. source 2.0 output 7.1. default equalizer

the only speaker enchancement i use is loudness equalization with default release time 3/6. dsabling it makes no difference for this problem

dont use sfx/mfx/efx or register efx apo

the problem is that we didnt register efx. we only registered sfx/mfx

modern skype only call efx apos if any of sfx/mfx/efx are registered. otherwise it falls back to lfx/gfx

I released version 0.9.2, which now installs as LFX/GFX only by default and should therefore now be working when using Skype. I could not apply your patch because I had to do many changes to the DeviceAPOInfo.cpp for the implementation of the "Troubleshooting options" in the Configurator. Thank you for providing the information how to deal with this problem.
