Sp basically when I have my headphones plugged in to my external soundcard "focusrite scrarlett 2i2 4th gen" the configuration editor doesn't play the equalizer settings to my headphones unless I plug my headphones directly to my computer then it works. So any fix how to make it work whilst I have my headphones plugged into my sound card.

Have you installed Equalizer APO onto the Focusrite Scarlett in the Configurator? If so, have you tried some troubleshooting options for this device in the Configurator?

Btw. Before any Equalizer APO command you need to insert a device selection command for selecting the Scarlett. Note that the top right dropdown box doesn't select a device. It's only for drawing the graph.

I tried to troubleshoot to install it as SFX/EFX with silent buffer on and off but nothing seems to happen. "Before any Equalizer APO command you need to insert a device selection command for selecting the Scarlett" how do I do that? I seem to notice that if I crank up the pre amp the volume on my headphones doesn't change but on the windows sound where all the playbacks are located I can see that the volume indicator is at the middle but when I crank up the preamp the volume indicator goes along the preamp setting.

In your screenshot I see the SteelSeries Sonar audio device as selected device. If you don't use a device selection command a pre amp is done on every device, input and output. That's what the volume bar (peak volume meter to be precise) is showing. So this only means the pre amp works on the SteelSeries Sonar, not necessarily on the Focus Scarlett. For this you need to select this device to check if the bar is moving.

After setting SFX/EFX on the Scarlett did you click the Ok button to invoke this changed setting? Any setting needs a click on this button. And for former Equalizer APO version the computer needed to be restarted but for the current version that's not needed.

If you're using the Configuration Editor then click on the top most green plus then Control then Device then select the Scarlett. Under this command you can add stuff like pre amp, etc.

If you're using the Peace equalizer select the Scarlett in the devices list at the right.

The volume bar doesn't change no matter the pream on the scarlett and yes I clicked ok when applying the SFX/EFX. When I selected focusrite scarlett form the green cross then device it didn't affect anything.

That's unfortunate. After browsing this forum it seems that others have problems too getting Equalizer APO to work on the Scarlett 2i2. One post of a user successfully used LFX/GFX.

      Great news!

Btw. I'm not the developer of Equalizer APO. I'm the developer of the Peace equalizer. I'll help people with this app, Equalizer APO and audio stuff.
