Hi , I've noticed that when I use browsers like Chrome, Opera GX and even Microsoft Edge my Equalizer APO's audio doesn't work on them. The mic only sounds what my original mic sounds like it has no vst plugins enabled. For example discord on browser my mic sounds horrible and when I use discord dedicated app itself the mic sounds fine when I listen to myself. In any games I have my mic works fine. It's just the browsers that doesn't work for me. Is there any possible solution for this? thank you

Check if the exclusive mode checkboxes for your mic are unchecked. Any app can use a mic exclusively. This bypasses any Audio Processing Object like Equalizer APO.

Also, have you EQ-ed your mic?

It was unchecked. I've tried both checked and unchecked and it's the same in my end. Yep I have EQ-ed my mic

Okay, so I guess that isn't the issue. On Firefox I don't have this issue but that doesn't mean that Firefox works on your computer. I've seen this issue before on this forum. I don't know how or if or it was resolved. I think that the developer hasn't commented on this. I usually suggest that it's about the audio technique but nowadays all modern apps uses WASAPI on which APO architecture is implemented. In other words, I don't have suggestion.

Sometimes when EQ-ing by the Graphic EQ of Equalizer APO it causes distortion but if it works in other apps besides the browser then I guess it's okay. Another issue can be that the input (voice) causes clipping which distort the sound. In other words, the pre amp is too high and should be lowered.
