Hello,
is it possible that changes to the audio persist even after uninstalling? I used the Windows control panel to remove Equalizer APO.
The only file left is "EqualizerAPO.log" in C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Temp\EqualizerAPO.log, but I can't remove it.
It seems that my audio remains changed. Is that even be possible if Equalizer APO is no longer installed?
If the audio engine file EqualizerAPO.dll is removed from c:\program files\equalizerapo (by uninstalling for instance) then the audio isn't changed by Equalizer APO any longer. But the uninstallation can go wrong in rare cases. The solution is to install the audio driver again, for instance through uninstalling then installing. Or by installing new/old driver.
In what way is the audio still changed? And is the folder c:\program files\Equalizerapo empty or removed?
Thank you for your quick response!
I only made slight changes with the EQ and it's hard to tell if the audio is still affected by it. I just wanted to make sure that it's not.
The Equalizerapo folder is completely removed and I have reinstalled the audio driver.
I assume there is no way that the equalizer still affects the audio, correct?
I appreciate your help!
No, not by Equalizer APO. It could be that a new device driver is doing the audio a bit differently then a former one.
