Does this also happen when starting these apps with administrative rights (right click menu -> Run as administrator)? It seems a rights issue to me but I could be wrong.

Yes I already tried running both apps with administrator and it still gives me that error(the picture)
And by the way when I tried opening configuration again there's something it said that there's some .dll is missing (two errors of .dll missing) and I need to redownload the equaliser and I did and it still gives me that error (the picture)

And before that I remember that I did something on msconfig file the thing on services I think I disabled some services that I think are not useful (I reverted my changes and enabled the services back but I think I have to go and make it automatic and if there's something I did on services that it uses please reply the services equalizer uses) to make my computer run faster but after that I tried running the app and it doesn't work no more (I haven't tested if the app is doing the error thing that's why I'm not sure if I did something on msconfig (also my game valorant broke too. I just did to make it work again is enable the services to automatically start on startup)

I'm not sure what Equalizer APO uses. I'm not the developer. But at least it needs (as any audio producing app) 'Windows Audio' and 'Windows Audio Endpoint Builder'. So these must be started at Windows startup. And it might need some c++ library dll but this is probably installed at the installation of Equalizer APO. Or perhaps it's on Windows already. Do you have the names of these dll's the Configurator is complainting about?

I found my search history and the missing dlls are libsndfile-1.dll libfftw3f-3.dll

And also I deleted some Microsoft things idk if it's the Microsoft visual c++ but I have deleted like 5 versions of it because some are from 2008 2010 2013 and I think 2017 or 16

    i found the names its Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Version 9.0.30729.4148 ,
    2008 9.0.30729.6161 ,
    2008 9.0.30729.4148,

    2005 8.0.59193

That's an issue. If those and other dll's aren't installed during the main installation of Equalizer APO then it can't work properly. In other words, the installation isn't going as it suppose too. This is usually caused by some anti-malware/firewall app which is blocking the installation of files. Perhaps c:\program files\equalizerapo is monitored so delete it after uninstallation (if it still exists).

After installation the c:\program files\equalizerapo folder should look like the attached image. If it does then an antimalware app may still prevent access. It sandboxes the files for some reason.

I have avast antivirus / anti malware but it's not giving me any alerts that it deleted them
I will try to make my anti virus not monitor that folder

I guess you're also saying that the folder doesn't look like the one in the attached image. Anyway, I hope you'll find the app that is doing this.

Thanks if this doesn't work could you pass your dll to me or something to fix this

I'm not sure if simply putting the dll's in the folder actually works. Usually they need to be registered in Windows. But this might not be the case so we can give it a try. You need to sum up all the files you're missing.

    yeah still error

Looking at the folder in your video it seems that all Equalizer APO files are there if you installed version 1.2.1.

And just found out that if you're trying to install Equalizer APO 1.3 on a Windows version before 10, such as 7 or 8, then some additional files might need to be installed. So which Windows version do you have?

Have you tried to run the Configurator and Configuration Editor with administrative rights (right click menu -> Run as administrator)?

  • Fermar Brian Marcos

My windows Version is Windows 10 Pro Oprekin Version. Yes I have tried opening it as administrator.

What's 'Opreking' version? Does it have APO capabilities?

      • Fermar Brian Marcos

Yes it does because a few months ago I am using equaliser Apo to boost my microphone gain

Great. But we can't figure out what has changed since then.

The usual suspect is a Windows update although I've never encountered such a severe issue which looks like the error message. Somehow the Equalizer APO software is reading or writing to zero memory location. So some memory pointer hasn't been initialized. Not being the developer I don't know what this means and where this happens in the program. It can mean a lot, for instance some brand-new Windows update (when using the Windows Insider Program) that is changing the audio system too severly.

Anyway, the above doesn't help you much. I'm just trying to make sense of it.
