#181 VST Compressors Not Working
I've tried quite a few VST compressors in Equalizer APO and none of them did anything. The most direct affect it would have on the audio is the make-up gain, which changes the volume of the audio after compression, and even what should bring the volume up to ear-damaging levels just doesn't make any kind of change. Yes, I've clicked "Apply" and yes, I've tried many of them. These include: Red 3 Compressor, Xfer OTT, AudioDamage RoughRider, and ClipShifter, but none of them work. Half of these I downloaded just now but I've had enough of searching when none of the solutions I'm finding aren't working. Every other type of VST plugin I try works, except for compression. Is there any chance that this could be fixed?
Unfortunately the developer of Equalizer APO isn't very active on his project. The chances of this being fixed are very slim. Have you search this forum for anyone who was able to do compression with a VST plugin?
I have tried some like reacomp, blue Cat's MB-5, GMulti, tb broadcast and mbprocess and they work very well for me, currently I use mbprocess (x32) with BC PatchWork + jbridge
