Unfortunalty, since I had to reinstall Windows 10 (2004) a view weeks ago, Equalizer APO does not work anymore at all.
I have tried to reinstall it multiple times now, and tried all possible UI variants, but it just wont work anymore. I can select any setting, without it having any effect.
Machine is a Thinkpad e495, with an Synaptics Integrated Audio chipset.
I´ve also disabled Dolby Audio Premium and Windows Sonic but am still cant get Equalizer APO to work.

Any possible ideas/solution?

Have you tried the troubleshootings options for the audio device in the Configurator? For instance, SFX/EFX is the Audio Processing Objects (APO) architecture on Windows 10 but the "Install as" dropdown box is by default on LFX/GFX. When the 2004 update comes with a new audio device driver, it could be that a switch of the architecture is made.

I take it that you've followed the troubleshooting wiki?

I got issue with mic after APO is installed. Headphones are working fine but mic is muted at all. Nothing helps as well.
After uninstall mic is still not working.
    How to solve this?

By default Equalizer APO installs itself on the default speakers and the default mic. If the mic is muted after this, something going wrong as you've noticed. Restoring is unchecking the checkbox (at the left) for the mic on the Capture tab of the Configurator. Reading your post you probably did this. After trying this you can restore the mic by installing its device driver. This is done by first uninstalling it and then installing it. Are you familiar how to do this?

        Hi Peter,

        Thank you for reply.

I have USB headset hyperx  cloud ii.
        OS is win 10.

I unchecked mic in configurator, uninstalled equalizer, audio drivers, install drivers (realtek) back but mic is still not back.

Since beginning apo wasn't working for mic, so I have tried different options in troubleshooting...

Also tried to delete device from the system. But it seems it is plugged back with the same system/registry configuration and mic keeps affected...

        Headphones are fine...

Unfortunately I didn't make system restore point before installing apo. I was not expecting such problem.

I can imagine you didn't expected this to happen.

After installing the mic device driver part of the HyperX software everything should be okay. Equalizer APO reroutes some registry keys to get to the audio stream of an audio device. Installing the original mic device driver makes this rerouting undone as everything is overwritten. Are you sure the mic is on as shown in the attached image (in this case Dutch)?

Another reminder: After uninstalling the HyperX the default mic will be the one of your computer. The HyperX mic should be set as the default mic again.
