I absolutely love the sound normalization feature from Razer Surround Pro (the 2.x version) - unfortunately it is clear that this software will not receive updates anymore.
Is there any way to analyze what the sound normalizer does to the sound, and recreate the effect? Maybe something similiar to what HeSuVi does to recreate virtual surround of various drivers?
I tried using a regular compressor (using a VST plugin) but i couldn't find any settings that makes it sound similiar - it feels as if Razers sound normalizer is doing more than just compression (it definitely removes some bass for example...)
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Equalizer APO has a loudness command (under Advanced filters). I'm not sure if this is the kind of "normalizing" effect you're looking for.
Perhaps with some filters you can mimic the Razer normalized sound. HeSuVi does have virtual surround capabilities (I'm not an expert) and for removing some bass you can add a high shelf filter with a positive gain (or low shelf filter with a negative gain).
