I'm trying Equalizer APO for years. I have periods, it works well, some when it doesn't work at all. I never understood why.
The receiver Yamaha HTR-4067 is connected to a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 by HDMI. ( And I use the motherboard's HDMI for my screen monitor. )
I used the last version 581.15 of NVidia drivers: NVidia HD is v 1.4.5.0.
I reinstalled the last version of Realtek drivers (6.0.9865.1) downloaded from from the motherboard's builder (MSI X870 GAMING PLUS WIFI). But I think it's not useful for HDMI sound.
I reinstalled the last version of Equalizer APO 1.4.2. I tried many tests and combinaisons in the audio settings of Windows 11 24H2. But in this period, it doesn't work.
My command line is simple, I use the rear speakers of my Yamaha HTR-4067 as the front speakers of my computer:
Copy: L=0 R=0 RL=L RR=R
Although this may not have to do with your issue at least you need to introduce a device selection command before your channel rerouting. Also, I see the copy command may be false. So:
Device:yourdevicehereCopy:RL=LRR=R
The L=0 and R=0 could mean that these channels are muted before they are copied to the rear channels.
After correcting your config.txt it may be that you're still experiencing the issue. If it's about the NVidia HDMI every update may remove Equalizer APO so at least that needs to be installed again on the HDMI. But any Windows update may cause Equalizer APO not to work. It did work always for me but I support the Equalizer APO project for years now (as being the developer of the Peace equalizer). I know about the issues.
And sometimes getting Equalizer APO to work on a specific device some troubleshooting option needs to be set but 1.4.2 usually finds the right APO technique which is usually the cause of to work or not to work.

Good to know that you were able to figure out which HDMI connection works. Btw. Equalizer APO isn't my software. As developer of the Peace equalizer I support Equalizer APO. Feel free to ask me anything about it.

Do you have some recommendations?
Thank you.

Thank you very much for your detailed reply.
I updated my config file as you said.
It seems in fact the HDMI 2 of my receiver Yamaha HTR-4067 isn't compatible. HDMI 3 works right now. I hope it will be OK forever.
Congratulations for your software, it gives me a good solution to use good receiver and speakers with my PC.
Cheers.
