I would like to put an effect on my microphone with Equalizer + Peace and then pass it through to Voicemeeter. Equalizer + Peace work fine for the microphone.
My problem: When I turn on the Equalizer it puts the effect to my speakers as well.
I understand the program is an equalizer for all channels.
Can I configure it somehow to not put the effect for my microphone on my speakers?

Although you're asking this on the Equalizer APO forum instead of the Peace forum, I'll give you an answer here. You have to select your mic in the Peace device list. This ensures that any equalization is only done on the mic. If you're talking about an effect you've set on the Effects panel then which effect did you use and for what purpose?

sorry for posting in the wrong forum.
With effect I meant an equalizer preset like Telephone or Vocal, sorry for the confusion.
I just want to make my microphone sound a little nicer. I have the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro + Microphone from Beyerdynamic for the Headphone series. It works fine and sounds well, but it is just a little flat. I want to lift the low and the high frequencies a little. The mids are ok.
It's working. Thank you very much.
A couple of things. I made some mistakes. I registered Output A1, A2, A3 in the configurator.
Now that you said it, I removed the program and installed it again. I just registered the my microphone and nothing else.
I was a little confused becaue the device list always jumped back to all devices instead of staying on the last selection.
Also, I understood now that you just need to register the devices you want to pass through to Voicemeeter. Then the device jumps back to "All devices" but it doesn't matter because I just registered my microphone. Understood.
Thanks again for you help.

I'm working on a new Peace version in which you can select the Voicemeeter outputs A1, A2 and A3. When it's uploaded you're able to use these outputs.
If the device "jumps back" to All devices this is caused because the microphone is saved yet in the preset. In other words, the preset was saved with the "All device" setting instead of the mic. The right order is: first select the mic then equalize it and save it as preset. Then after selecting your preset again from the configuration list the mic should automatically be selected. If not, something is going wrong.

Exactly, this was my mistake. Thanks for helping out.
I tested specifically what you said and I did exactly what you said (select mic - select preset - save preset) and it jumps back to all devices.
I noticed something else. When I edit the microphone and save the preset, I don't hear the changes when I select the microphone (or in my case Voicemeeter Output). I hear the changes only when I set it back to all devices.
Why is that?

what you said (select mic - select preset - save preset)
It should be select preset - select mic - save preset (with selected mic so it can be reselected). But I guess you meant that to write.
To check if Voicemeeter Output is working, try selecting this device in the Configuration Editor of Equalizer APO. Then do something beneath the device command line like setting the pre amp. If with the Configuration Editor the mic can be changed then something is wrong in or with Peace.
Perhaps you can attach your mic preset here so I can take a look at it and try it on my laptop. Btw. you're using the lastest1.5.2.0 version of Peace? The next version will have the ability to select Output A1 to A3 of Voicemeeter and a small bug is repaired with the device list but this one shouldn't prevent the reselection of the device of a preset.

I checked the the Voicemeeter Output as you said. I attached a screenshot.
It is possible to change the mic directly from the Configuration Editor. When I change the pre-amp value it changes directly in my Voicemeeter (screenshot).
I have the version 1.5.2.0, didn't install an older version.
I notice that your Bass and High Boost2.peace file doesn't contain a device selection setting so Peace selects "All devices" when loading this preset. As you mention the term "jumping back" it lets me believe you aren't understanding yet how things work. It doesn't jump back, it selects what's in the preset. So if the preset doesn't contain "VoiceMeeter Output, VB-Audio VoiceMeeter VAIO" it selects the "All devices". So select the Bass and High Boost2, select Voicemeeter output and the save it again overwriting thid preset with the right device selection. For convience I've attach your preset with the Voicemeet output already in your preset file.
The second issue is probably a bug of Equalizer APO and/or Voicemeeter. After investigation I have the same issue. A pre amp in the config.txt works but a pre amp in the peace.txt doesn't. And it does work when using the microphone device instead of the Voicemeeter Output. I'll create a ticket for it on this Equalizer APO website.
Edit: On your image virtual output B (Voicemeeter Output device) wasn't selected for the microphone. If you select Voicemeeter Output as device and the mic isn't linked to it then any change like pre amp does nothing (although it's strange it did something. On my laptop I got the same result but in my I did route my mic to virtual output B.
Anyway, perhaps you can let Peace change your mic directly instead of changing the virtual B output (Voicemeeter Output). For a good tutorial you may watch this video.

Yes, I had it in the wrong order. Thanks for clearing that up.
It works fine now. Thank you.

I see. Got it. I've overwritten my preset with the right device selection.
Yes, I had it in the wrong order. Thanks for clearing that up.
It works fine now. Thank you.
Great. One thing down, one to go ;)
Btw. Did you see my "edit" message of my previous post?
I'm sorry, I didn't see it. I'm a little sick at the moment and in this haze I overlook and forget things. Let me check that out.
Ah, yes. I set the ports right now. Thanks for the help :)
You're welcome. Happy to help.
