I installed Equalizer APO 1.2.1 and Peace on Windows 10. I am using Voicemeeter Banana to connect Tidal to my Asio driver that I'm using for my DAC. After I installed it there is a problem with the audio, there is a noise every few miliseconds that ruins all the sound. This seems to be a conflict with Voicemeeter. If I remove the audio device and click OK, don't restart the computer then add it back the sound is normal and the equalizer works. This is a temporary solution until the noise comes back later or I restart my computer.
Another problem is that when the equalizer works it then stops working a little later, so that the equalizer makes no change to the sound and there is no difference in sound if I turn it on or off.
I read a post from one user that had a similar problem, he said he found out that the VoicemeeterClient.exe file was causing the problem, and he installed the 1.1.2 version that didn't have this file and was able to use it with Voicemeeter. I tried to install version 1.1.2 and the Equalizer APO didn't work, it made no change to the sound (maybe it couldn't work with Voicemeeter or my ASIO driver). So I installed version 1.2.1 again and have the same problem.
I previously tried to install Equalizer APO a few months earlier before I had my DAC, Voicemeeter and Asio driver. I was using my sound card then, after installing Equalizer APO I had problems with my sound and was not able to make it work and had to uninstall it. Since then I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows but I keep having problems with Equalizer APO.
I tried all the troubleshooting options available in the Configurator and they did not work.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help me solve this problem so that I can use Equalizer APO.
Thank you

I can't offer any simple/direct solution but as creator of the Peace interface I've tried using Equalizer APO together with VoiceMeeter. The sound coming from VoiceMeeter was distorted and therefore unusable. This might be the same issue as yours. Somehow there's some incompability or mess up between Equalizer APO and VoiceMeeter, maybe concerning the used sample frequency or the internally buffering. This last one could be your case. I've tried using one sample frequency but it seems not to be as easy as changing this frequency in VoiceMeeter. Somewhere I've read that someone successfully "synchronized" all sample frequencies, meaning when VoiceMeeter is on 48 kHz everything must be on 48 kHz. Unfortunately I don't know how to do this properly. It's about the audio stream coming from a device to Equalizer APO and then to VoiceMeeter. This needs to be of the same sample frequency.
Also I've enlarge the internal buffer of VoiceMeeter. This made the sound less distorted but still unusable. At least it could tell us something but what?
This user was able to get it all going by a different install method:
Install VoiceMeeter -> Install Equalizer APO without installing it on any device -> Restart PC -> Now use the Configurator to install Equalizer APO on the VoiceMeeter device A1 to A3
Of VoiceMeeter and Equalizer APO must be uninstall first.
A similar issue someone had in a virtual machine. The audio got distorted like your experience. Instead of solving it by changing some setting he changed something in the BIOS.

Thank you for your reply. I tried the solution that the other user mentioned. I uninstalled Equalizer APO then restarted my computer (without uninstalling Voicemeeter, it was installed before Equalizer APO). Then I installed Equalizer APO, didn't select any devices to install, then I restarted the computer, chose the devices to install APO and restarted the computer again. I still have the same problem with the sound, there is a noise every few milliseconds.
I have a driver for my DAC that uses ASIO and I have a sample rate selected there. I tried all possible sample rates there and there is a problem with the sound with all of the sample rates (the noises become more frequent the lower the sample rate is).
Do you know if there will be an update to Equalizer APO in the future that will fix the sound problem with Voicemeeter?

We haven't heard of the creator of Equalizer APO if or when a new update will be released. I think he doesn't have or work on a solution for the issues with VoiceMeeter. It can be related to VoiceMeeter or to the interface between Equalizer APO and VoiceMeeter. Unfortunately there isn't any info on that. I do know that some user on this forum has contacted the creator of VoiceMeeter but again no info. Nothing has been posted on the status of this contact. It's a bit frustrated as we can't zoom in on this issue or these issues. I don't know if it's one big issues or more separate ones.
