Equalizer APO does absolutely nothing.

I have tried literally every troubleshooting thing I could find online. My partner and I have worked a collective 6 hours on trying to get the program to do literally anything. Any possible help is appreciated. From what I can tell there are no EQ programs anywhere near as good as this free online and I'm getting desperate. Any alternative programs? I'm pretty close to just giving up for good.
Do you input through USB or S/PDIF?
If you already have installed native driver https://www.tpdz.net/newsinfo/759417.html with no change then try with Windows generic driver... (it is possible that native driver bypasses APO layer).
If you have enabled APOs for this device and already tried troubleshooting options found in Configurator applet with no success ... I would start by looking the log file generated by EqualizerAPO (need to enable log -feature 1st)

i use usb, but the equalizer wasnt working even before i got the dac/amp. searched my pc for the log file and it doesnt exist. not sure how to enable the log feature? if its on by default i havent touched it. sorry but i have no idea.
Do you mean on the default speakers (3.5 mm) output? If so then Equalizer APO isn't working at all and that's something to be solved first.
