Im very much a noob with this software but im anxious to learn more about it and using it better. I started using it because I wanted to get more out of the headphones I purchased, Philips Fidelio X2, plugged into a Rotel Integrated Amp. The headphones have a really great soundstage but wanted to boost the low end a bit. Its displaying that its in the red? Posted a photo in case I can make it better.
The main issue for me is, when I dont want to use the headphones I switch the amp to use my Focal bookshelf speakers but its causing distortion with my APO curve applied. If I disable the APO, I dont hear the clipping. But I always have to have the APO open to disable it whenever I want to switch back and forth between bookshelf speakers and headphones. Is there an easy I way I can disable the APO? Like through a hotkey or maybe if it was disablable through a right click menu in the taskbar?
Move your filters/components meant for headphones to some other file(s) and read those in using Include commands (as you loaded the example.txt there in your attached image) ... when you want to disable filters targeted to headphones then just switch OFF those Include: component(s) (related to headphones).
You could also use Device: to target filters to work for certain device only but as you use same output ports for speakers and headphones (PC end) this would not work in this case.

The Configuration Editor doesn't have easy and fast switching capabilities. May I suggest the easy switching features of Peace (interface for Equalizer APO). Switching can be done by mouse click, hotkey (from anywhere), Windows system tray and desktop icon.

I can't test this but, one could try what happens if there's 2nd config file, an empty file named as "nofilters.txt", loaded through "File" menu (this config file should open up in a tab) .... then, what happens if this config is selected in "Start from" list ?

The "Start from" list is only the start of which the analysis panel is drawn from. It doesn't include or select a file. Say you have a tree of include files and you want to know what's going on on one particular leaf. Then you select the leaf in the "Start from" list.

Well, it would be nice if it was possible and if the Configuration Editor has switching capabilities. It's such an important feature to have. I always have to refer to Peace for this.

OK, long time since played with the software ... .
