I've recently bought a fifine k670 usb microphone. Since i've been using equalizer apo with peace to equalize my headset I'm trying to do the same with the microphone. As soon as I activate and change any value on the mic eq the signal goes static and clips at full db even when having the mic output at the lowest level. Any clue on how to get it to work? I've also tried the experimental mode on the troubleshooting setting with no luck.
Just to check, did you install Equalizer APO onto your Fifine K670 microphone by using the Configurator? By default, Equalizer APO is only installed on the speakers and microphone. Every other device including USB devices must be installed.
Looking at the attached image of your post, I see the configuration/preset/eq is done on the "All devices" setting. This should be only on the microphone by selecting the K670 in the devices list. Perhaps not doing this causes issues. Btw. is your microphone positioned near your speakers?

Yes, I tried the normal and throubleshoot install with restarts in between. I've also selected only the microphone, It was in "all devices" just to make the screen capture.
And I only have my headphones while testing it.

Okay, it seems you've tried everything. I don't have a clue what's going on. It seems a feedback loop is going on (the output is redirected to the input) but how? Perhaps some setting in the Windows audio settings of your USB mic.
You could attach a log file to this discussion (see this chapter how to create a log). Unfortunately I'm not expert on interpreting the log.

The microphone has a 0 latency output which doesn't interfere with the pc, but it appears in the playback devices with the exact same name, since you mentioned feedback loop I have disabled the mic_test output in playback devices. If I do the same on the device manager both dissapear from the playback and recording devices but it doesn't make a difference either.
I think it's very odd that a microphone turns up in the playback devices tab. Perhaps the k670 driver has a bug. Maybe an old driver or new one improves things. Then again it seems it doesn't make a difference uninstalling the playback part as you've mentioned.
The only thing I can see in the log is the following error message:
Not matching pattern "MIC_TEST Micrófono {260d0817-6dcf-4e4e-8779-c0d543b92691}" with device "Interfaz SPDIF FiiO USB DAC-E10 {EFC2E0B1-AF77-4E40-8FB4-3632A8DC99A4}"
Unfortunately I don't know what it means (I've browsed the source code but I haven't got a clue). I can't understand why the SPDIF interface is matched with the microphone. I guess the K670 doesn't have a SPDIF output (or a jack for headphones for that matter).

I don't understand what the dac has to do with the micphophone. The k670 is conected to the pc with usb as well as the fiio dac, they don't connect directly one with the other. I've just tried with a different output and same happens. Maybe it has to do something with mono and stereo channels since the mic is mono but the log shows "2 channels for this device: L R". I don't have any clue

Amazing you found it. I was wondering about the 2 channels message in the log but I dismissed it of being of any importance. I hope the trick remains to work.

Yes, and for some reason if I make a speaker with left and right channel control only, works too. If someone has the same problem maybe putting the speaker like this fixes it.

Finally, I think that was it, removing all speakers and keeping only the left one did the trick for now

Thanks for your solution. I'll put it into the Peace manual and make a post of it.
