    Hi guys,

Yesterday I updated to Windows 24H2 and noticed my EQ stopped working. When I tried to reinstall Equalizer APO it keeps throwing up error code 0x88890004, even when trying to install in different modes through the troubleshoot installer.

Any idea what I can try to resolve this? Thanks.

After searching the web it seems that 0x88890004 has to do with audio devices or perhaps in your case only 1 problem audio device. While 24H2 is trash, I have all kinds of issues but luckily no Equalizer APO ones, it could be that the audio devices were renewed causing their former devices still installed but disabled. If so, this causes the Device Selector and Configuration Editor of Equalizer APO to malfunction. Either these apps can't get the specs of one audio device causing a crash or error message. Or 24H2 in its entirely is troublesome concerning audio devices.

So you could try the following. Either try to remove the troublesome (former) audio device from the Windows registry. Of course you don't know which one to remove. Or perhaps try what's being described on this page as it's a 0x88890004 error.
