    Hllo
I installed equalizer APO and it’s not working with some apps, apparently the Windows store apps.

    It does work with:
    Windows media player
    Amazon music
    System sounds (like warnings, notifications)

    It doesn’t work with:
    Netflix
    MyTube
    Edge (new and old)

Is it supposed to be so??

I’m using a Tablet acer one 10 with Windows 10 1909. Sound driver Realtek I2S Audio + Intel SST audio

Before replying to your questions, your post contains a lot html tags. It's confusing to read. On which device and how did you write it?

Equalizer APO uses the Windows audio feature of Audio Processing Object (APO). If other programs uses other ways for audio like ASIO or WASAPI then Equalizer APO can't work since ASIO and WASAPI don't have Windows APO.
So it's probably a matter of setting the right audio way, usually DirectSound. Unfortunately, it's sometimes difficult to find this audio setting. Also I suggest try another browser like FireFox or Chrome.

Just for the record beneath you'll find my experiences.
I'm using Netlix on my laptop in FireFox. Equalizer APO works fine. How do you use NetFlix?
Although I don't use Edge (It's slow and inconvenient) running a YouTube video whilst changing the audio (in this case by Peace) does work.

      Thanks for your answer.
Sorry about the format, I sent the topic as an email message from my phone.

I'm using Netflix and MyTube from the microsoft store, so kind of native apps. How can I tell if they are using APO, ASIO or WASAPI?? I think is not ASIO because I installed asio4all and it doesnt activate. It is not APO because equalizer apo is not working so it should be wasapi, isn't it?? Or is there any other way??

Can you recomend me an alternative that works with wasapi??

      Thank you

I wish I could answer your questions. I do know that Windows apps from the store are a little bit different then your regular Windows programs. Your experience seems to point to a rather strange thing: Windows store apps don't have APO capability. Or a Windows store app can bypass APO. In other words, a Windows store app using WASAPI could be the case or it hasn't APO thus can't be controlled by Equalizer APO.

Perhaps there's general audio settings for Windows store apps. Unfortunately I couldn't find such settings.

Is the alternative of using NetFlix on Chrome or FireFox a good one? If so, Equalizer APO should be able to do its magic.

      Thanks for your message.
Yes, I think it is a very good alternative.
      Thank you.

    Hello Sourceforge,

It sounds like you're experiencing a common limitation with Equalizer APO on certain apps, especially those from the Microsoft Store. Unfortunately, Equalizer APO often doesn't function with apps that use Windows' Universal Windows Platform (UWP) framework, like Netflix, Edge, and other store-based applications. This is due to how audio routing works differently in these apps compared to traditional desktop applications, and Equalizer APO doesn’t have access to their audio streams by default. You might want to try a companion tool, like Peace Equalizer, which sometimes helps tweak settings for broader compatibility. However, for UWP apps specifically, an equalizer may require an app that directly supports on MagisTV Premium them natively.

    Best Regards!!
