    I am very computer illiterate.

So i have managed to download the equalizer apo, and the peace program, and i copied the peace program into the config folder...

I am able to run the peace eq program, but I don't understand how I'm supposed to effect the sound.

When i click the different eq settings, it doesn't change the sound at all... am i supposed to save the file? where do i save it to?

I really need step by step instructions, thank you so much.

Oh, and I have a Schiit Magni and Modi amp and dac, and i'd like to effect the sound coming from internet browser, and on foobar2000 with wasapi (my friend who is no longer with me installed things previously)

First you have to establish if Equalizer APO is working. Make a change in the config.txt for instance add the following line:

    preamp: 6 dB

    The audio becomes louder or:

    preamp: -100dB

Now the audio is muted, well unhearable because of the very low pre amplifying dB value.

If this doesn't work, read the Equalizer APO wiki for solutions.
If this does work, check if Peace.exe is in the config map. Changes of any slider of whatever must be notice immediately (no save needed).

btw. If you're having Equalizer APO problems this is the right forum. If you're having Peace Equalizer problems (the gui) maybe you can post them on the Peace sourceforge page.

    "foobar2000 with wasapi "

If you mean the WASAPI output plug-in then ... doesn't it bypass APO features?

You're right Juha. It could be the problem.
