Using vanilla equaliser APO and the Configuration Editor GUI.

I second this. No audio changes but with the scarlett 2i2 with beyerdyanmic pro 990's. Tried installing as FLX/GFX, SFX/MFX, and SFX/EFX with no change. Tried audio ehnacement on and off and exlusive mode on and off. No updates on drivers either.

Some did managed to get it working but that usually happens after some new Windows update.
Have you tried the unchecking of the "Use original APO" checkboxes (if there aren't greyed out)? This bypasses any sound enhancement (APO) of the Focusrite Scarlet 2i2.

For some reason after a few restarts and changing the install back to normal a few times it worked. But now my buddy is having the same issue but with hyperx cloud alpha's

There has been many reports regarding Focusrite - EqualizerAPO compatibility.
Are you using Focusrite bundled drivers or Windows generic drivers?

Sometimes more than one restart is needed. I don't know why.
There are posts on the HyperX Cloud here on this forum. Perhaps there's a solution provided.
