I installed Equalizer APO Editor. I tried a test and hear no sound change via Win10 media player. I think I'm turning it on via a power button that turns black when I click it. Nonetheless I tried clicking it both ways. Zip, nada, goose egg. Can someone simply tell me what is the magic sauce to enable/turn on the EQ?
After Equalizer APO is installed on a device (by default is only installed on the default speakers/headphones output and the default mic input), then you're able to change the sound by altering the config.txt file. So at least use this file instead of DAC.txt. Even better, use the Peace equalizer interface. It's so much easier than the Configurator Editor. Also GraphicEQ might not work or has issues. Btw. Although you did add some good commands in the right order (device selection then eq-ing it by GraphicEQ) you have turned them off (black power button).
Unfortunately a few things might prevent Equalizer APO from working. So if the Peace equalizer interface isn't working or using the config.txt file isn't working in the Configuration Editor, I'll guide through some troubleshooting options, of which the "SFX/EFX" setting on Windows 10 and 11 is the most important one.

Somehow I got the EQ to work. I get black is power on. I did notice a Analysis Panel lower left that shows L channel. What is this? I did not find the Peace equalizer. Thanks.
Just google "Peace equalizer". It's here on SourceForge. Anyway, great you got things going.
I heard that before that black is on. On my computer white is on. Must be some Windows setting. Confusing!
The graph is by default (don't know why) for the left channel. As part of all channels basically is shows the filter graph for all the channels. Again confusing.
Although I'm the creator of the popular interface (Peace) I'm happy to support you on anything of Equalizer APO. Basically I'm the one who gives the most support as the developer isn't very active.
