Ok to set a variable to login, but maybe not in the config but in the=20 database, so admin can change it. Also we can think to leave administrator always local, so if for example an= =20 ldap server is down administrator can always login. Ciao Marco, this is correct (or not correct), but why it can't work? This is simple: We have split off the install directory from the main eNvo-distribution because it is easier for developing. If you want to install the CVS-package you must copy the install.php and the install directory from the "envo_install" folder into the CVS distribution. Better is to make an installation not with the original CVS. Create a second (local) folder and copy the two contents of the CVS folders "envolution_13" and "envo_install" into it. Then you can start from this new place the installation process and test eNvo. I will take a look what I can do to run the install routines standalone (directly out of the folder "envo_install"). The cvs server is ready and running from many days, and I sent all the username and the password some days ago to Max, so if you want to work on the cvs server also for other project than envo core, ask him your password... If you have some request on the cvs server ask me. In the next month I would like to pass to ssh cvs chrooted server. If someone can help me, or have already set up a similar server please contact me... Have you seen postnuke's module? There are two modules on ldap for postnuke... but I think that if we will=20 work on autentication, it would be interesting in considering a more=20 general way to authenticate an user and not only with mysql and ldap. Project like phpgroupware has also imap, pop3, http, windows domain and=20 other type of authentication. Another important possibility would be in my opinion the way to=20 authenticate a user on a "server" envolution from saveral "client"=20 envolution, and this could be happen via xml-rpm (w.blogger already use=20 this way to authenticate to the envolution's side). I'm not a good coder, but I can do an help if you want.. Another aspect that is near autentication in the group system and role=20 system, that are not so evolved as other part of the code.. Can some of you programmers look into supporting PAD files from the association of shareware professionals? Our Downloads structure lacks basic information such as OS, File type (demo, share, free, trial, etc) thumbnail view of screen shots, most of the fields in the pad xml file. I do not understand why someone programmed downloads mod now to only select picture the webmaster uploaded. The submitter should have this right to send a URL of the screenshot or package image. Everytime I post a request for help in this area it is ignored. =( ----- Original Message ----- From: "TiMax - Envolution" <web...@en...> To: <Env...@li...> Sent: Thursday, July 24, 2003 3:24 PM Subject: [Envolution-devel] eNvo 13 development started I just open new branch for eNvolution 1.3x development, you can found it in envo13 directory. Modifiers are quite extensive, some are, modified the columns name of filemanager, update of the install part for oracle (some col have been = mod and so we need to mod also that) and others mod to others file (10-20 f= ile or so). Speaking of columns and tables, there is a DB manager of the project wi= th whom interact and get approval for new tables or mods, or can we set na= ming standards so that there is not the need to make alterations for compatibility (see a previous mail of mine). Without these mods the Oracle part is not quite functioning.
