    Hello!

I have the following problem. Whenever i launch a game for the FIRST time (I mean after booting up Windows and doing some things), it takes almost 20 or more seconds to load up the game when i clicked on it´s exe. I can see the process of the game in the Task Manager. If i would kill that process and would then start the game again, it loads as fast as normally (depends on the game).
Why is that? Does Windows have to collect some information before that first launching?
It doesn´t matter which game, cause that it´s globally for every game. By the way, DxWnd is running in the background all the time, so it´s not that the game has to load up DxWnd first.
But i should say that only happens for games that are injected in DxWnd. So every other game that is not injected in DxWnd and launching for the first time, it loads normal as it should.
I can live with that, but i just want to know what exactly could the cause for this.

In general, first time you use anything in Windows, that thing is loaded and cached, so that next time it will be ready to be used and load time will be much lower.
That said, 20 seconds seems quite a lot (to me, first time I run a game I can wait a few seconds, not as many as 20) and may hide something specific, some blocking operation that lasts most of it.
DxWnd could be responsible of part of this delay. I would suggest you to configure some really small and fast-loading game in DxWnd and measure the start time with this light load: that should be the DxWnd's component of the overall delay. If this is the most of it we should investigate better on DxWnd side, otherwise .... it must be something else.
