Well that's interesting, it seems I had the game installed but for some reason I deleted it and I don't even have it in my archive. I don't do that very often so there must have been a special reason for it.

The game plays 2 intros and then next DxWnd logo appears so another exe is launched. I believe it is MIDTOWN.icd and that is what is causing the crash.

I tried that but couldn't get a working configuration with DxWnd. Here in Win7 the game is in the MS Shim database. Maybe one of them conflicts with DxWnd.
All I know is that the game loads ui.ar before it crashes.
Two things still aren't right:
1. Extended hook for Colour emulation method. You can press Windows button in Menu and it won't work; losing focus makes it irrecoverable as well
2. The music plays sometimes and sometimes doesn't. The fix is simple: to hide non primary audio devices. It should only see 1 output device

There is a minus button on top right which can hide the game, but DxWnd doesn't handle it. Natively it works completely fine, so its a feature not a bug :)

The media in MyAbandonware looks close enough to mine so that can be used.
On top of that, install the XP patch so that it doesn't use the unsupported RTT format for textures.
On my computer the game needs Limit video memory
There can be more issues but I need to get into the game first

@BEEN_Nath_58
The game has SafeDisc protection. Are you sure this patch will remove it?
Yes
The game plays 2 intros and then next DxWnd logo appears so another exe is launched. I believe it is MIDTOWN.icd and that is what is causing the crash.
There was a setting in Tweaks tab that prevents the crash.
It is not related to the icd file, any SafeDisc1 game will use ICDs. The game runs natively as well
OK, it works without DxWnd, so something is wrong. I won't be here today, I'll try tomorrow.

I think I found something, give me half an hour
OK, I got some results with Hot patch. But I have too many flags turned on, I need to clean it up.
Try it.

This?
Lol our timings overlapped
OK, I see I can't get any further than the menu. Well, maybe next time.
Did my profile work for you
Your profile works fine. I can't believe that two flags were enough: 16bit and Support offscreen 3D off. Unbelievable.

Well, nothing is perfect, but the current result is very good. Maybe that's why the game has the IgnoreAltTab shim?

I am reaching home now.
There is a minus button on top right which can hide the game, but DxWnd doesn't handle it. Natively it works completely fine, so its a feature not a bug :)
I know it does. However, you can get to the desktop by pressing keys start/win + D. That works. I don't think it's a big bug, the game is playable.
Win D works. I can delay this bug for now. But this exists in any game with minimise function
The other and only problem is in multi audio output
