ok, phoenix raised the issue that someone else may be doing the same script as he was going to do (the fishy thingie), so to combat this, im gonna do something (i dont want to use the sourceforge task manager). basically, ill ask for a script, and the forst person to reply to that thread and say "yeah, ill do it" (or something to that effect) will get the job. everyone else should leave it alone. this will, of course bias ppl who live in timezones near me, so if you get ALL the scripting jobs, and someone else wants a go, be a sport... i may also try to assign ppl jobs, if this does not work... so yeah, go well. (this si the thread to say "yeah, ill do it", to teh scripts asked for before... (you may have to specify which script you are going to do if i ask for more than one script on one email tho)) cool like lemonade... -- Lord, what fools these mortals be! -- midsummer nights dream. ok, this week im gonna do the gardens piece of the map (just above the elves guild), so ill start with lots of trees, add some monsters, maybe a secret room or two, we'll see from there... this means: DESIGNERS: i need to know what to put in these gardens, i mean, are we talking trees or pumpkins?? monsters?? any cool people you can meet in there??huh?? so yeah... a small esign tip would be much appreciated. also, we'l need the map.smt file updated to take into account the small but daunting lake i have created... SCRIPTERS: ill need some scripts soonish. maybe a simple conversation script, maybe something more funky, i dunno.. we'll see. actually, i have a first script: i need a script to run the fish jumping outta the water sequence. it should have variables at the top so an idiot can cange it (X of the fish, Y of the fish, delay between jumps, and fish type?? (i think there are two colours, correct??) something like that would be supreme. if you could make something like that, then add it to CVS, that would be so funky......damn.... anyway, glenn, when you can get us some buildings, we'll start making the warriors guild :-) -- "Avoid the Gates of Hell. THIS is what i mean. and if you get 6 or so, you're lucky. i get about
200 a day, and roughly 50 of them are worth reading. also, i cant think
of any OT posts recently.....remember that this list is for ALL
developers, and for ALL teh subjects, so it can beanything from
scripting, design, to map making...
so yeah, this is how to reply to an email. quoet the email before that
was relavant, and write below the quoted bit.

Okay, if you want a screenshot of Dink without using any tools like Paint Shop Pro just use WinDinkEdit for your screenshots. Go to the screen you want to take a picture of and hit the print-screen key. Paste it in ms-paint or whatever program you're using. The screenshot from that program won't need its pallet changed around and will look exactly the same as it would coming from the game. -Striker >ok, can someone else do the screenshot thing for me?? i still ant work >out how to do it. when i try, the screenshot comes out black, and >nothing appears...hmmm... its a pallete issue im fairly sure... > >On Sun, 14 Jul 2002 13:09:02 +1000 Thus said >ddm...@li...: > > > >also, ill now attempt to convert the hut Glenn made for us, and > > >attempt to add it to the dink.ini file. im not too optimistic though. > > > > Yeah I am fairly sure I got the palette right but you will have to > > gimme a screen shot of ho it looks and what the sizing of it is > > compared to your characater sprites. > > > > Glenn > > _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com |
