BinDiff
Helper app for VMware .vmdk files differential backup
This application is intended to make a diff files for the backup purposes. Imagine that you have a VM with 10GB vmdk file that you backup every day. So, you need to keep 100GB (let say 60GB with compression) for 10 days. However from those 10GB file only ~500MB is daily changed and you can shrink your backup storage to 15GB, if you keep only the daily difference. The BinDiff makes this job for you. Initially you make a full copy of vmfk file (let's say every month or two). That time you also make a hash file to track the block changes. You keep the hash file (which is small enough) and every day make a differential file from vmdk file that you keep on the backup storage. Profit! For the recovery BinDiff merges the latest available diff file with the initial vmdk file and gives you the full vmdk on that day. You can also make/check md5 checksums if necessary. Note that BinDiff tracks 4kB block changes only (VMware vmdk does it and HyperV I guess too). -

These files can be edited using the free FileZilla ftp client software. The download contains all sources plus an executable Java Jar file to start right away. Some SC/MP hex dump examples are provided in directory "/etc" as well. The download also contains unit tests and some helping documentation (also in /etc). You may slow down the CPU operations, displaying the CPUs status register as LEDs, to watch the CPU working with its registers. The emulator also contains a VDU (video display unit) output / ASCII input simulation. This project also includes an IBM/360 simulator capable of running the output of both the Pascal compiler and the XPL compiler. The simulator is written in C and can run on most machines with a C compiler. -

The System 16 board uses a Motorola 68000 cpu at 10Mhz for the main program and a Z80 and on YM2151 for the sound. The actual version of the emulator emulate many more than the single System 16 board because now you can play with System 18 games like Shadow Dancer, with pre-System 16 games like Quartet II and even with some dual 68000 games like Hang-On and Space Harrier. VMAware is a cross-platform library designed to detect virtual machines. It is meant to be stupidly easy to use, with only 5 total functions in its public interface. Additionally, it supports brand detection. While there are many VM detection mechanisms that are already in use, VMAware features up to 80+ unique techniques to get the most accurate result possible. On top of the library, there's a CLI tool that takes advantage of the full library (see screenshots) It's also meant to be compatible with ARM, and 32-bit Windows, with C++11 support. The library also has separate MIT and GPL compliant code, allowing for licensing flexibility among proprietary and open-source projects.
