    libjpeg-turbo

    libjpeg-turbo

    SIMD-accelerated libjpeg-compatible JPEG codec library

libjpeg-turbo is a JPEG image codec that uses SIMD instructions (MMX, SSE2, NEON, AltiVec) to accelerate baseline JPEG compression and decompression on x86, x86-64, ARM, and PowerPC systems. On such systems, libjpeg-turbo is generally 2-6x as fast as libjpeg, all else being equal. On other types of systems, libjpeg-turbo can still outperform libjpeg by a significant amount, by virtue of its highly-optimized Huffman coding routines. In many cases, the performance of libjpeg-turbo rivals that of proprietary high-speed JPEG codecs. libjpeg-turbo implements both the traditional libjpeg API as well as the less powerful but more straightforward TurboJPEG API. libjpeg-turbo also features colorspace extensions that allow it to compress from/decompress to 32-bit and big-endian pixel buffers (RGBX, XBGR, etc.), as well as a full-featured Java interface.

    OpenGApps

    OpenGApps

    OpenGApps daily releases

The Open GApps Project is an open-source initiative that automates the creation of up-to-date Google Apps packages for Android devices. It provides pre-built packages that are compatible with all major Android versions and hardware platforms. Open GApps packages are DPI-optimized, ensuring better performance and consistency across different screen densities. The project updates Google Apps frequently, with new builds generated nightly when updates are available. Strong compression keeps downloads relatively small, even for full-featured packages. The installer checks device compatibility before making changes to prevent installation issues. Open GApps offers multiple package options, ranging from full Google app bundles to lightweight, minimalist configurations.

    Termux packages

    Termux packages

A build system and primary set of packages for Termux

Termux is an Android terminal emulator and Linux environment app that works directly with no rooting or setup required. A minimal base system is installed automatically - additional packages are available using the APT package manager. Access remote servers using the ssh client from OpenSSH. Termux combines standard packages with accurate terminal emulation in a beautiful open source solution. Take your pick between Bash, fish or Zsh and nano, Emacs or Vim. Grep through your SMS inbox. Access API endpoints with curl and use rsync to store backups of your contact list on a remote server. Install what you want through the APT package management system known from Debian and Ubuntu GNU/Linux. Why not start with installing Git and syncing your dotfiles? Have you ever sat on a bus and wondered exactly which arguments tar accepts? Packages available in Termux are the same as those on Mac and Linux, install man pages on your phone and read them in one session.

    GmsCore

    GmsCore

    Free implementation of Play Services

microG GmsCore is a FLOSS (Free/Libre Open Source Software) framework to allow applications designed for Google Play Services to run on systems, where Play Services is not available. The linux-based open-source mobile operating system Android is not only the most popular mobile operating system in the world, it’s also on the way to becoming a proprietary operating system. How is that? While the core operating system is still released as part of the Android Open Source Project, the majority of core apps are not. It gets worse: More and more libraries and APIs are only available on phones that run various Google apps pre-installed, effectively locking third-party apps to the Google ecosystem. For these reasons Android is described as being a “look but don’t touch” kind of open. At this point, several popular open-source applications already require some of Google’s proprietary libraries to be installed.

    Apktool

    Apktool

A tool for reverse engineering Android apk files

A tool for reverse engineering 3rd party, closed, binary Android apps. It can decode resources to nearly original form and rebuild them after making some modifications. It also makes working with an app easier because of the project like file structure and automation of some repetitive tasks like building apk, etc. It is NOT intended for piracy and other non-legal uses. It could be used for localizing, adding some features or support for custom platforms, analyzing applications and much more. The decode option on Apktool can be invoked either from d or decode. In order to run a rebuilt application. You must resign the application. Android documentation can help with this. As you probably know, Android apps utilize code and resources that are found on the Android OS itself. These are known as framework resources and Apktool relies on these to properly decode and build apks.

    raylib

    raylib

A simple and easy-to-use library to enjoy videogames programming

raylib is highly inspired by Borland BGI graphics lib and by XNA framework. Do you want to see all functions available in raylib? Check raylib cheatsheet. raylib is a programming library to enjoy videogames programming; no fancy interface, no visual helpers, no auto-debugging, just coding in the most pure spartan-programmers way. raylib has received several recognitions in the last years and many people have written about the library. Here there are the main awards received from Google and Epic Games. raylib supports multiple target platforms, it has been tested in the following platforms but, technically, any platform that supports C language and OpenGL graphics is valid for raylib or can be very easily ported to. raylib can be combined with several extra libraries for additional functionality, some of those libraries are already used internally while others are provided for user integration, most of these libraries are single-file header-only with no external dependencies.

    OpenH264

    OpenH264

    Open Source H.264 Codec

Cisco has taken their H.264 implementation and open-sourced it under BSD license terms. Development and maintenance will be overseen by a board from the industry and the open-source community. Furthermore, we have provided a binary form suitable for inclusion in applications across a number of different operating systems and made this binary module available for download from the Internet. We will not pass on our MPEG-LA licensing costs for this module, and based on the current licensing environment, this will effectively make H.264 free for use on supported platforms. OpenH264 is a codec library which supports H.264 encoding and decoding. It is suitable for use in real-time applications such as WebRTC. Constrained Baseline Profile up to Level 5.2 (Max frame size is 36864 macro-blocks). Arbitrary resolution, not constrained to multiples of 16x16. Rate control with adaptive quantization, or constant quantization.

    FreeRDP

    FreeRDP

FreeRDP is a free remote desktop protocol library and clients

FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), released under the Apache license. Enjoy the freedom of using your software wherever you want, the way you want it, in a world where interoperability can finally liberate your computing experience. The nightly builds are installed into /opt/freerdp-nightly and can be installed in parallel with the distributions regular freerdp package. Network tracing of RDP can be quite a challenge due to a number of factors such as encryption, compression, and the fact that these protocol features cannot always be disabled or worked around. One of the easiest way of decrypting RDP traffic is to configure the server with a self-signed certificate for which the private key is known, and then use this certificate with a network tracing tool to automatically decrypt the packets.
