    Termux packages

    Termux packages

A build system and primary set of packages for Termux

Termux is an Android terminal emulator and Linux environment app that works directly with no rooting or setup required. A minimal base system is installed automatically - additional packages are available using the APT package manager. Access remote servers using the ssh client from OpenSSH. Termux combines standard packages with accurate terminal emulation in a beautiful open source solution. Take your pick between Bash, fish or Zsh and nano, Emacs or Vim. Grep through your SMS inbox. Access API endpoints with curl and use rsync to store backups of your contact list on a remote server. Install what you want through the APT package management system known from Debian and Ubuntu GNU/Linux. Why not start with installing Git and syncing your dotfiles? Have you ever sat on a bus and wondered exactly which arguments tar accepts? Packages available in Termux are the same as those on Mac and Linux, install man pages on your phone and read them in one session.

    Apktool

    Apktool

A tool for reverse engineering Android apk files

A tool for reverse engineering 3rd party, closed, binary Android apps. It can decode resources to nearly original form and rebuild them after making some modifications. It also makes working with an app easier because of the project like file structure and automation of some repetitive tasks like building apk, etc. It is NOT intended for piracy and other non-legal uses. It could be used for localizing, adding some features or support for custom platforms, analyzing applications and much more. The decode option on Apktool can be invoked either from d or decode. In order to run a rebuilt application. You must resign the application. Android documentation can help with this. As you probably know, Android apps utilize code and resources that are found on the Android OS itself. These are known as framework resources and Apktool relies on these to properly decode and build apks.

    Epoxy

    Epoxy

Android library for building complex screens in a RecyclerView

Epoxy is an Android library for building complex screens in a RecyclerView. Models are automatically generated from custom views or databinding layouts via annotation processing. These models are then used in an EpoxyController to declare what items to show in the RecyclerView. This abstracts the boilerplate of view holders, diffing items and binding payload changes, item types, item ids, span counts, and more, in order to simplify building screens with multiple view types. Additionally, Epoxy adds support for saving view state and automatic diffing of item changes. We developed Epoxy at Airbnb to simplify the process of working with RecyclerViews, and to add the missing functionality we needed. We now use Epoxy for most of the main screens in our app and it has improved our developer experience greatly. If you are using layout resources in Epoxy annotations then for library projects add Butterknife's gradle plugin to your buildscript.

    React Native Navigation

    React Native Navigation

A complete native navigation solution for React Native

React Native Navigation is a module, dependent on and intended to be used alongside React Native, so some experience with it and knowledge of core concepts is required. We also assume you are working on a Mac with XCode and Android Studio installed and setup. You can also make it work in a Linux distribution, of course, but in that case bear in mind that some sections of the docs that deal with iOS might not be relevant to you. When your app is launched for the first time, the bundle is parsed and executed. At this point you need to display your UI. To do so, listen to the appLaunched event and call Navigation.setRoot when that event is received. When your app is launched, RN makes sure JS context (which is what enables you to execute JavaScript code) is running. There are quite a few differences between iOS and Android in this regard.

    Dagger

    Dagger

Fast dependency injector for Android and Java

Dagger is a fully static, compile-time dependency injection framework for Java, Kotlin, and Android. It is an adaptation of an earlier version created by Square and now maintained by Google. The latest Dagger release is: Dagger 2.33. Dagger aims to address many of the development and performance issues that have plagued reflection-based solutions. Dagger is a replacement for the FactoryFactory classes that implements the dependency injection design pattern without the burden of writing the boilerplate. It allows you to focus on the interesting classes. Declare dependencies, specify how to satisfy them, and ship your app. Dependency injection frameworks have existed for years with a whole variety of APIs for configuring and injecting. So, why reinvent the wheel? Dagger 2 is the first to implement the full stack with generated code. The guiding principle is to generate code that mimics the code that a user might have hand-written to ensure that dependency injection is simple.

    V Programming Language

    V Programming Language

Simple, fast, safe, compiled language for developing software

Simple language for building maintainable programs. You can learn the entire language by going through the documentation over a weekend, and in most cases, there's only one way to do something. This results in simple, readable, and maintainable code. Despite being simple, V gives a lot of power to the developer and can be used in pretty much every field, including systems programming, webdev, gamedev, GUI, mobile, science, embedded, tooling, etc. V avoids doing unnecessary allocations in the first place by using value types, and string buffers, promoting a simple abstraction-free code style. Most objects (~90-100%) are freed by V's auto-free engine: the compiler inserts necessary free calls automatically during compilation. A remaining small percentage of objects is freed via GC. The developer doesn't need to change anything in their code. "It just works", like in Python, Go, or Java, except there's no heavy GC tracing everything or expensive RC for each object.
